Clear description of the problem:
My mouse is faltering, it stucks a bit sometimes.
I move the mouse, but the cursor on my screen stays at the same place fro a a second.
When a connect a second mouse simoultaneously, the X-Mouse controlled mouse is faltering, but the second mouse works smoothly.

Your last statement throws me a bit. XMBC is not device aware and applies to all devices at the same time. If you connect another mouse, XMBC will (should) remap that device too as it cant tell where the messages come from.

If you exit XMBC all together, does the first mouse behave normally?
