X Mouse Button Control

Problem: you are working on a large floor plan and need to scrutinize the entire perimeter of the exterior wall.

Worse: Using the pan tool via the middle mouse button you repeatedly click+drag click+drag click+drag all while holding down the wheel as you pan around the model. Pretty soon you have repetitive stress injury.

Better: You keystroke Shift+W to activate the navigation wheel, and the pan tool is suddenly a continuous smooth operation. However the need to keystroke Shift+W before and after is clunky and you never integrate it into workflow.

Best: You use X Mouse button control to map any mouse button to {SHIFT}W{LMB}. Now when you click that button and drag, you can pan all over continuously.

Pro: You have a trackball that lets you spin the ball infinitely from one end of the model to the other.

Hi @Henrryparth,

I've just downloaded X Mouse Button Control version 2.18 from FileHippo. What should I start with? Could you please share any user manual?

Cheers,
Steve

There is a user manual included in the installation - should be on your start menu.
It is also on my main download page.

If thats is not sufficient, then what do you want to know? Im hopinh to get some further assistance to improve the user guide so any tips of what could be useful would be great (Im probably too close to it to know what is needed by the majority of users!!)
