Issue in fullscreen

Post by r4ptor »

XMBC Version: 2.17 Portable x64
Windows Version: Windows 7
Mouse Information (brand/model): Logitech G502
Computer Information: Intel i7 970, ASUS P6T, GeForce GTX960, 20GB RAM.
Did the problem occur after an upgrade of XMBC or Windows?: After XMBC update
How long have you used XMBC?: Some years, but v2.17 for less than a day
What language and keyboard layout do you use in Windows?: Danish/DA

Clear description of the problem:
Default action for button 5 is Close (Alt+F4). It will work just fine with any windows/programs in windows, but not running in fullscreen mode.

Media Player Classic is the only thing I have, which can run in fullscreen. With v2.9.2 Portable, which was the version I was previously running, I never had this issue. With v2.17 Portable, it won't close, but in fullscreen only.

I tried applying the close action to button 4 and the middle mouse button and got the same issue.

I also tried installing VLC see, to see if I'd get the problem here too, and I do.

I tried with clean settings, and it didn't help.
I've now reverted to v2.9.2 and the problem is gone.

Instead of using the Close (ALT+F4) option, please try Simulated keystrokes and the sequence {ALT}{F4}
I think the behavior was changed to fix another bug and had some unwanted side effects - but the simkey workaround should work

That worked!

I have configured other buttons and they all work fine in full screen. Hopefully the issue is limited to the close action only :D
