XMBC Version: D:\XMouseButtonControl 2.17 Portable\32bit (x86)
Windows Version: winxp sp3 english
Mouse Information (brand/model): A4Tech model Wop-35
Computer Information: socket 775 , dual core cpu , 3gb memory , asus 3650 agp video , audigy 2
Did the problem occur after an upgrade of XMBC or Windows?: no problems ;)
How long have you used XMBC?: few mounth
What language and keyboard layout do you use in Windows?: EN

Clear description of the problem: No Problem ;)

Hey. My name is Mitwad. I'm from Russia

Thank you very much for the program: XMouseButtonControl 2.17 !!!

It really helps me in my work at the computer. A little later I'll send you a few dollars
for the program.

I would suggest adding several new features to this program:

p.s. sorry for my English. i live in Russia, and i use google translate for this message

1) In the program: DragKing v1.3 - there is a function - put the text selected by the mouse - immediately into the buffer (without pressing CTRL C).
But it does not have a window tracking function (window title, or window class), and therefore sometimes there may be some conflicts with other programs.
In XMouseButtonControl - this function would be useful I think.

2) In the plugin - MAHAssistance (for the Winamp player) - there is such a function: Hold down the right mouse button and then spin the wheel,
then it works - hotkey or volume control. In my opinion, this is not a bad function for the XMouseButtonControl program.
Probably you can still do this: - if you twist the mouse wheel from yourself - then one hotkey has worked, and if you turn the wheel towards yourself - then another
the hotkey worked.
Well, if it is possible to do so of course ...;)

3) When a certain window appears - after a few milliseconds or seconds or immediately - automatically move the cursor
mouse in a certain place, or click a button or press hotkey or open the application - once. or to interrupt
cycle of clicks - you can focus on the window class or title - and after clicking - change specifically or the name of the window, or change the window class - to interrupt the cycle of mouse clicks, or hotkey.
this feature could save some more time working with applications.

p.s. while using the program to create independent (exe) scripts for this purpose: InqSoft Sign 0f Misery (Neos0m)

4) In TextBoard v.3.12, I use mouse gestures. This is when we pressed the left mouse button and hold down the moved mouse
Left moved the mouse down and released the left mouse button - hitbox worked. There are many gestures for the mouse. I advise you to look
or even use it yourself.
I would like to see something similar in xmousebutton

p.s. if you need the program TextBoard v.3.12, DragKing v1.3, MAHAssistance, InqSoft Sign 0f Misery (Neos0m) - write in personal correspondence.

Drag and Copy

Post by sukemaru »

Hi Absolum,

For (1) the functions "Left Drag selection and COPY immediately", I have confirmed that it is POSSIBLE on a text editor application with following settings ( w/ XMBC 2.18 beta 11 ) ... You may try the latest BETA version!

Set Left button to "Button Held"

in "Button Held" config panel
Normal Action: Left button
Held for: 100 to 500 ms - Simulated Keys
"Wait until ..." option: Enable
"Abort and revert ..." option: Disable

in "Simulated Keystrokes" panel
Custom keys: {OD}{LMBD}{OU}{LMBU}{OU}{CTRL}{OU}C
Sending method: 9 pressed & released
"Block original input" option: whether Enable or Disable.

Note:
1. "Drag & Copy" settings need to wait 100 - 500ms with holding the button down before the start to move (drag).
2. {OD} and {OU} simkey tags can be used with XMBC 2.18 Beta 8 or later. And usind these tags along with Method9 is not supported officially by the author.
@Phil, about "new simkey tags {OD} {OU} {OR} are added in 2.18 b8", not documented in ChangeLog.txt :!:
3. {LMBD} and {LMBU} simkey tags - for Left Button Down/Up - are not documented in the Simkeys Help field and User Guide PDF, but they are in the Change Log #175 (§ v2.6).
4. If you want to use BETA versions with portable installation, you may read "XMBC 2.18 Beta" topic, I noted about it in page 5.

Regards,
suke

OK, for (2) "volume control" functions with Right Button + Mouse Wheel Up/Down are POSSIBLE too. Some of XMBC users are doind as you say when the mouse hovering over the system tray, (perhaps most of them are using them without Right Button...)

If you want to use these functions with Right Button + Wheel Up/Down you may set Right Button to "Button chording" from drop-down list, on the layer tab,
or without Right Button (only Wheel operations) you may set Wheel Up/Down to "Media - Volume Up/Down" from the drop-down lists directly.

For example, set as above (specify the system tray).
"Add" a new profile... Click "Specific Window" button on "Choose Application" dialogue... Enter as following on "Find Window" dialogue,

Process: explorer.exe
Class: ToolbarWindow32|Button
Parent Class: SysPager|TrayNotifyWnd
Match Type: Window and Parent Window
"Enable Regular Expression Matching" option: Enable
Description: (as you like)

for "Chording",
Set Right Button to "Button Chording" and open "Chording" setup

on "Button Chording" config panel
Set Wheel Up to "Media - Volume Up" (drop-down list)
Set Wheel Down to "Media - Volume Down" (drop-down list)
option ticboxes: whether Enable or Disable (as you like)

Note:
1. The window class strings which specified as above are for Win XP. I have not confirm on other versions of Win OS.
2. If you want to increase/decrease the volume twice (or more) for every 1 notch scrolling up/down, you may use Simkeys {VOL+}{VOL+}.../{VOL-}{VOL-}...
3. If "Media - Volume Up/Down" and {VOL+}/{VOL-} simkey tags dont work, You have to enable and start "HID Input Service" on Microsoft Common Console setups. ( Win+R -> run "services.msc" )

Hi Suke...
2. Actually, the {OD},{OU},{OR} issue/fix is mentioned in the changelog (issue 566) but the actual new tags are not. I'll change that.
3. I'll add {LMBD}/{LMBU} to the simkey help field. The user guide does not document any of the simkey tags in any detail - and it would be quite a lot of work to do so!
