if i try to use / it will use ~ instead, is there a way to use /?

XMBC sends physical keys, not characters - is shift down (or does it need to be down on your keyboard (you didn't specify the keyboard language))?
try {shift}/ and see if it makes any difference?

i use the portuguese keyboard, / works if i change the keyboard to us english, guess thats better than nothing

Thats interesting...

So what key is it on the Portuguese keyboard (and is it shifted)? It should be able to work using Portuguese keyboards but if you have to press shift (you didn't answer that) then you will need to include {SHIFT} in the simkeys?
