Multiple Mouse Support

Post by alto_piano »

Hi there,

I really enjoy the X-Mouse application. Good job!

I was just wondering if there is or ever will be support for multiple mice connected to your PC.

For example, let's say I have two mice connected to my PC, call them A and B. Let's say I want the right click on mouse to send certain keystrokes and the right click on B to mute the volume.

Is the software able to distinguish between multiple pointing devices connected to one PC and remap the buttons on each mouse accordingly?

Thanks in Advance,

Hi,

Glad you like XMouse :)

I'm sorry to say that there is no way I can do this. By the time XMouse receives notification of mouse input it has no way of determining where this came from. It is something I looked into early on, but the only way you could do this, I believe, is at the hardware specific driver level, and XMouse is not a driver.

Sorry to disappoint.

Thanks,
Phil
