X-Mouse Button Control 2.7
I've just released X-Mouse Button Control version 2.7
Version 2.7 is mostly a bug-fix release.
You can find the latest version (including the portable version) in the usual place, on the downloads page (mirror).
For a complete list of changes, check out the version history.
The user guide (included in the installation, and English only right now) can also be found here or here.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not post bugs or feature requests in this topic. If you find a problem or want something to be added, please create a new topic where your issues or ideas can be discussed.
Once again, many thanks to everyone who has helped me beta test this release, and to all those providing the language packs/translations.
I have setup a new mirror on my own virtual server. Please let me know if you find any dead links.
Thanks,
Phil

Re: X-Mouse Button Control 2.7
Thanks for all the work in getting this new version out!
None of the ten beta versions of 2.7 gave me the slightest bit of trouble, so I'm sure the new release will be well received.
This is uniformly one of the first pieces of software I install in any new-build.
Best to you from San Diego.

Re: X-Mouse Button Control 2.7
Just installed 2.7 and noticed this:
The installer suggested install location to be "C:\Program Files\\X-Mouse Button Control", note double backslash.
I did not proceed, rather I corrected the location, so I'm not sure what it would have done.
I was installing over 2.7b10, so perhaps this has some effect on the suggested path. Running the installer again showed the correct path this time.
Thought it would be useful to know.
Using Windows 7 64bit SP1
Thanks

Re: X-Mouse Button Control 2.7
Thanks for the info but Windows generally handles double backslashes fine, much safer than no backslash

Re: X-Mouse Button Control 2.7
Thanks for updating an essential free app.
Re: X-Mouse Button Control 2.7
Is there a way for me to set the buttons to use Tab and ShiftTab ? Seems like the buttons are already preset and I only see whats been preset.
I guess I was expecting an ability to set the buttons to whatever I want them to be and not from a preset list.

Re: X-Mouse Button Control 2.7
What buttons?
If you mean the mouse buttons, the yes! Using simulated keystrokes you can send pretty much anything you want.
{TAB} or {SHIFT}{TAB} should do nicely!
Thanks

Re: X-Mouse Button Control 2.7
Yes, so how do I do that, I want to set my two buttons or maybe the scroll wheel left/right buttons to Tab and sh**+Tab, All I see are premade settings I tried just hitting the "Tab" on my keyboard to see if it binds but that did not do it, sooo, hoe do I do it?
Re: X-Mouse Button Control 2.7
Got it, could not find the "Simulated Keystroke Assignment", now I have found it and my key strokes are in, working fine!
Thank You.
Thank You.
Re: X-Mouse Button Control 2.7
I also talked about it
Please, Phil, do simulated keystrokes  higher on the list ...
inconveniently located imitation.
I understand convenient scrolling wheel selection from the list.
At least button positioned next to each opposite

Re: X-Mouse Button Control 2.7
Clubfan, The order of the list is sorted alphabetically as I said before.
I didn't mention this before, but you can re-order this list simply by editing the language pack (or providing your own language pack). Just edit the translation for "Simulated Keystrokes" => "your text" and stick a 0. or 1. in front of the "your text" then it will be at the top or near the top of the list.
Its not rocket science, its pretty standard behaviour.
As for the screen shot, what are you trying to say, I dont understand (it does not help that I cant read Russian!)
For what it is worth, the <admittedly English> user manual describes the simulated keystrokes option reasonably well - I know people dont read manuals, but its worth a look before posting!
Thanks,
Phil

Re: X-Mouse Button Control 2.7
How would I Enter the Custom Key(s) if I wanted to hit "Ctrl+Shift+R"? If this isn't the correct place to ask this question, I apologize. Newbie... I use this three button combo to "Reprint" photo's for my photobooth that I run. Being able to click the scroll button on my mouse with this three key combo would save me a ton of time.
Thanks for any help!

Re: X-Mouse Button Control 2.7
In Simulated keystrokes, use:
{CTRL}{SHIFT}R
Play around with the send "method" - you might need "During" depending on you usage.
Thanks,
Phil
