Buttons 4 & 5

Post by Anonymous »

I am using a microsoft laser mouse 5000 with Xmouse 1.34 on a 32bit XP machine.

I set all buttons to \"Nothing\" in Xmouse.

The buttons 1, 2 & 3 respond correctly to button commands in Autocad 2008. Buttons 4 & 5 do not.

However, when I set 4 & 5 to one of the other commands on your drop down list they pass thru to Autocad and function correctly.

What can I do to allow Autocad to control the commands for buttons 4 & 5?

Thanks

Hi Carl,

I'm not sure why Autocad doesn't work with XMouse in this way. Normally when you set a button to \"Nothing (Don't Intercept)\" XMouse completely ignores anything for that button and lets it filter through the normal way (as if it were not even running). So I don't see why auto cad wouldn't see the 4th and 5th as usual when set like that....

I presume Auto Cad works OK with the 4th and 5th if you exit XMouse all together?

Unfortunately I don't have auto cad (and its not the sort of thing I can just go out and buy) so it could be tricky for me to figure out what's going on here. :(

Thanks,
Phil

Thanks for checking.

I set the 4th to delete and just use that.
