So, I installed windows vista beta 2 32bit today, and noticed right off that the intellimouse program wouldn't install.

So, I turned to google!

Y'all were the first hit, and this does exactly what I needed! Thank you much!

Good old Google eh :)

But I'm a little surprised intellipoint dosnt install in vista - thats a bit of a shocker (I hadnt actually tried installing intellipoint because I just default to XMouse anyway :))

Just for info, did you try the latest IP v5.x?

Thanks,
Phil

I tried 4.2, 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.5 and I think I even found a version six somewhere, I really lost track trying to get them to work. They all said one of the following:

This requires WinXP or Windows 2000.

This software predates your operatiing system, please update it.

The install programs that is.

I even tried running it in XPSP2 compatibility mode and it'd get to the \"select your mouse\" screen with no dropdown box so you'd be stuck.

Hence, the good ol google, since I play ragnarok online and require certain mousekey mappings. So I was gonna go back to XP but tried one more time and found your awesome product which most likely has less overhead in the first place then intellipoint does.

It's passed the acid test <3

Anyway, I love vista but you can sure tell it's a beta, see following when trying to share a folder: :P

Yes I agree... Its a lot better than the Feb CTP but still has some way to go. I have it installed but am still using XP x64 as my OS of choice - Vista it not quite close enough for me yet - mainly because it crashes in certain games (CSS for one)...

Still hopefully the next build (RC1?) will be suitable to use as my primary OS.

Thanks,
Phil
