Re: Button mapping to window parts?

1.6 humm that was years ago - I presume you mean 1.60 :) Anyway yes, I understand your requirements and its certainly not a bad idea. Its also not really difficult, just time consuming :) The GUI actually wont be a major issue if I just use the same window selection as the scrolling, along side the ...

Re: XMBC Icon

Urm its either 10 or 15. I've had soo many spam bots register and post naughty images in the last few weeks I had to increase it - sorry! I suppose I could manually move you out of the new users group - then it will allow you to post images immediately :) Edit: Consider that done - you should be abl...

Re: XMBC Icon

Interesting idea.
I've already got the ability to load icons dynamically so customising it will be easier - I will see how the green dot plays out though - that might work very well :)

Re: Button mapping to window parts?

I haven't got any plans to do this - wow the user interface alone would be a nightmare! That is not to say it is impossible - I suppose, I could modify the application specific behaviour to allow you to select a window rather than an entire application - it would be interesting, but I fear that perf...

Re: inpout32_x64.dll issue writing/reading 128

Oh I must have missed or perhaps it slipped by with all the spam Ive been suffering on the forums since 2011 started (fixed now I hope!) Thanks for the update - I have, in the mean time, put a new version online that might just work (I found some more problems). v1.5.0.0 - its worth a try but if the...

Re: XMBC Icon

Tested, and working - and it does not stop you using resourcer either - just an easier way for the general user to customize icons and does not require patching the exe (which I don't like for various other reasons).

Re: XMBC Icon

Loading icons from a file will not make any difference to the performance - it will be done once. And it wont increase memory usage because the icons are already loaded from the resources, so it makes no diff if they are loaded from somewhere else. So thats not a worry. BTW: What is this xml++ you m...

Re: Can not get the middle button to do ALT+LEFT

Glad to be of service... Although I did smile at the thought of "hurting someone at logitech" - the same thoughts have crossed my mind in the past - but for some reason, I still use many of their products so they must be doing something right (even if its not the software bit!) Thanks agai...

Re: Can not get the middle button to do ALT+LEFT

I'm also not sure why the keystrokes are not working, but at least your problem is solved.
Its quite a long list, and it selects the current action which means its often not shown starting at the top.

Thanks :)

Re: Can not get the middle button to do ALT+LEFT

Strange, because that worked for me in both firefox and explorer. Incidentally, why are you not using the BACK option in the main dropdown (instead of simulated keystorkes) - does that not work? EDIT: also you could try using the "During..." option in simulated keystrokes. Also you could e...

Re: Can not get the middle button to do ALT+LEFT

No reason - I just tried it and its working here.
Maybe some more detail might be of use specifically:
Version of XMBC
Simulated keystroke text and and send method

FWIW, I used {ALT}{LEFT} with "As mouse button is pressed"

Thanks,

Re: XMBC Icon

I think Im going to have to support the ability of loading an icon pack of some sort - maybe as simple as loading icons form files in the app folder if they exist. That way anyone can use whatever icons they like.

I will see if there is something quick, easy and effective I can do :)

Re: Problem remapping button 1 and 2 to simulated keystroke

Actually during is the most likely option to work, because that essentially holds the key down while the button is down, thus any normal key-repeat patern should apply.

Anyway I'm glad you got it working :)

Re: Problem remapping button 1 and 2 to simulated keystroke

Some games get mouse data in different ways. If they don't rely on windows messages then the game may still be seeing the left/right buttons as default. In fact I'd be surprised if most games dont work this way - XMBC generally is only going to be useful remapping buttons that the game does not usua...

Re: Cannot get simulated keystrokes to work (Solved!)

If you are and administrator, then XMBC should run as admin by default on Windows 7. I know that in Windows 7 UAC prevents even admin accounts running as admin by default, offering you the UAC dialog, but XMBC works around this by using a system service (XMouseButton Launcher) to launches XMBC at st...
