Re: BUG? CMD windows not clickable on Vista64

Phew :) Glad I managed to figure out that one - but it is indeed strange that setting it to "left click" in vista breaks the command prompt when it does not in Win 7 - I guess MS must have "fixed" the sendinput problem to the command prompt in 7. I wonder if Vista SP2 / (SP3 when...

Re: BUG? CMD windows not clickable on Vista64

Aha... So I just installed a Vista x64 (sp1) virtual machine. I think I might have recreated your problem. What have you got the left button set to in XMBC? I found if I set the left button to "left click" instead of the default "nothing don't intercept" then I cant click on the ...

Re: BUG? CMD windows not clickable on Vista64

Me again.... :) I just tried it here, created a standard user account (win7 x64). Logon as that user. XMBC works fine with cmd.exe windows XMBC Does not work with elevated windows (included elevated cmd.exe windows) but I can still click on them and activate them, and use the right button etc. It ju...

Re: BUG? CMD windows not clickable on Vista64

To check some UAC details... Open task manager, Goto the processes tab, and open the view menu, select columns. Tick/Turn on the "User Account Control (UAC) Virtualizaiton" column (hit OK) Look in the processes list: Whats in the UAC column for XMouseButtonControl? Hit show processes from ...

Re: BUG? CMD windows not clickable on Vista64

I read in FAQs that XMBC does not work on Vista with applications run in Administrator mode This is only true if XMBC is not running as a privileged user (admin) under UAC. By default, if your account is an admin account (even though with UAC you usually don't run as admin) XMBC should be running a...

Re: Please, more buttons!

Please read the FAQ. It explains why XMBC only supports 5 buttons. It sounds like this 4th button you have is not a mouse button at all but some sort of key injector - esp. if it sends ALT-TAB. This is beyond the remit of XMBC which deals with windows mouse messgaes, not keyboard messages, in order ...

Re: Button mapping to window/screen parts?

OK I don't have a problem with you suggesting things. It might be better to have independent threads for these suggestions - or perhaps I need a independent XMBC feature requires forum :) Sometimes its difficult to judge and manage users expectations - but it seems you are understanding my position ...

Re: Button mapping to window/screen parts?

What do you mean by screen edges/corners - do you mean each windows edges or the monitor edges? Are you talking about "configured" hotspots? Either way, this one sounds even more complicated - but then, you do like to complicate things don't you lol :P I've got an idea, lets focus on one t...

Re: Window Scrolling OK Button

Ive not idea what a mousewheel key stroke is? It sounds more like sending a up/down key (like method 3 but for all directions)? When I say it switches tto method 4 (wheel msg) if 1 & 2 fail, that is, it checks the result of the sendmessage. If that indicates the message did not work, it falls th...

Re: Window Scrolling OK Button

Update on this one.... 1. the disable option and the default option do not work as expect. This has been fixed in my latest test build. 2. I have added a "Test" button to the window scrolling dialog to allow you to test the changes made to scrolling configurations without having to press O...

Re: Reinstalling windows, export xmbc settings?.

The best idea, if your into reinstalling often (like I am) is tyo specify the location of the settings file during installation (keep it on another drive/partition/folder that survives the reinistall). I keep mine somewhere in "my documents" or documents as its now known - but I always rel...

Re: inpout32_x64.dll issue writing/reading 128

I'll see if I can reproduce it. I'm not sure I even have a parallel port on my motherboard which makes things a little trick, but I think my old laptop does.

If the sample progs are failing also it shouldn't be too tricky to fix (are you referring to the .NET samples or the others)?

Thanks,
Phil

Re: Scroll Speed

Ahhhh yes OK I haven't tried it with IE9 - I did download the beta a while back but have upgraded/reinstalled since then :)

And no, that system certainly doesn't sound slow to me :)

Re: Scroll Speed

OK, still cant see any difference here :( IE seems to behave differently to firefox, but I cant see any difference with scroll window under cursor on or off in either application :( Maybe its down to other influences - hardware/software. I could perhaps imagine some slight delay in remapping the mes...

Re: Window Scrolling OK Button

Window scrolling is just plain awkward. Most modern apps work fine with the scroll wheel messages but some dont, and a lot of old apps (vb6 springs to mind immediatly) dont. The scrolling options was designed to make windows that dont normally work with the scroll wheel recognise it, by simulating o...
