This is a bug - and a long standing one! The restore option is doing the same thing as maximize!
I cant believe you are the first to spot this as it must have been there for several years!

Sorry about the delay in replying. The profile should switch automatically when the active application changes. I don't know why this might not be working for you. If you turn on debug logging in the general settings tab, then apply that, the log might give some indication of what application is act...

Have you checked the enable lock key in the main screen for the selected application (or default). This setting is application specific, allowing you to onlye enable the lock keys in certain application profiles if required.
