Did you try other methods? I'm sorry, but one of them fit to your description, or maybe you can write much more precisely so I can imagine it. What do you need it for, and for what program? You can try many things in Notepad to see effect of your ideas.

You have to go to simulated keystrokes (without chording) and beside that code you just used choose method 3 (during), as I guess you had choosen first one, default, so pressed.
