Re: 4th and 5th swap doesnt work

Thanks, I will have a look and see if I have broken something. I don't use the swap option here, only the swap in remote desktop so I might have missed it.

Thanks,
Phil

Re: Any way to save profiles?

Yes, I saw that MSDN link too. that funciton would be easy to use withing XMBC but....

Sunshy, do you still want an option in the generic settings to toggle this?
I don't think it will be difficult but I'm not sure its really appropriate in XMBC.

Thanks,

Re: Simulated keystrokes are sent twice in Windows Photo Vie

Actually XMBC doesn't work at all whan I bind any other button than the scroll wheel, as I already assigned them to special functions in setpoint and it is always these functions that are executed instead of XMBC settings. I guess there's a problem there too ? If you configure setpoint to change th...

As far as I know, you cant. Certainly not in XMBC.

Re: Strongly suggest add mouse button as modifier keys

This is already supported using the layer dropdown options in the main screen (and thus can be configured per application). For example: Set button 4 to "Layer 2" and while the 4th button is held down, layer 2 will be active. Is this what you are trying to achieve? This functionality has b...

Re: Need zoom feature from scrolling

Now why didnt I think of that - yes MainTrane's suggestion is far better than mine - and does not require layers :) Im not sure why my method cause you trouble though - may need to look into that seperatly. MMB should have switched to layer 2 when held, and then the scroll up/scroll down combos for ...

Re: Need zoom feature from scrolling

Try this....

Layer 1
Middle button -> Layer 2

Layer 2:
Scroll up - sim keys: {CTRL}{MWUP} (pressed)
Scroll down - sim keys: {CTRL}{MWDN} (pressed)

Give that a try.
Thanks,
Phil

Can anyone recommend a good bluetooh/wireless mouse?

OK, I give up with cheap Chinese imports lol. Can anyone recommend a good wireless (pref. bluetooth I think - as I only have 2 USB ports to play with) mouse for my laptop. It must have 5 buttons minimum and ideally a tilt wheel. But here's the crunch - I'd rather not spend a lot of money on it, whic...

Re: Mouse freezes durring check for new version

Great, thanks for the help.

I might push out 1.54 with this fix quickly seeing as it can cause lockups, but then again, right in the midst of some new changes, including window specific profiles and profile switch as the mouse is moved over windows - so maybe I'll hold off for that.

Thanks,
Phil

I believe PM's sit in your outbox until its read by the recipient - or at least until the recipient logs on. Its handy if you ever want to edit/retract the PM ;)
Anyway it worked and I have replied.

Thanks

Re: mouse gestures, keyboard shortcut, remapping, Alt-F4

Hi, Firstly XMBC can not do gestures yet. Its on the todo list but it has been for years - and I've no idea when it will get done - its a lot of big changes gui and functionally that I don't have much time to spend on. However as the todo list gets shorter, the chances are higher that I will look at...

Re: Mouse freezes durring check for new version

Hi lee321987, I've had a play around with the code and I think I've fixed this lockup. I have tested it with ZoneAlarm (which also had a similar lock up) but I would really appreciate it if you could check it works with your AV/Firewall? If you would be happy to help me test it - please let me know ...

Re: Simulated keystrokes are sent twice in Windows Photo Vie

Another thing I tried is add the Photo Viewer Window to the "Window Scrolling" Tab in XMBC Advanced Settings, and select Scroll Method 3 (Left/Right Keys) with Vertical Lines set to 1. But sadly nothing happened, the wheel kept its default behaviour (Zoom) Well that does not surprise me, ...
