No reason - I just tried it and its working here.
Maybe some more detail might be of use specifically:
Version of XMBC
Simulated keystroke text and and send method
FWIW, I used {ALT}{LEFT} with "As mouse button is pressed"
Thanks,
Phil

Re: XMBC Icon
I think Im going to have to support the ability of loading an icon pack of some sort - maybe as simple as loading icons form files in the app folder if they exist. That way anyone can use whatever icons they like.
I will see if there is something quick, easy and effective I can do

Re: Problem remapping button 1 and 2 to simulated keystroke
Actually during is the most likely option to work, because that essentially holds the key down while the button is down, thus any normal key-repeat patern should apply.
Anyway I'm glad you got it working

Re: Problem remapping button 1 and 2 to simulated keystroke
Some games get mouse data in different ways. If they don't rely on windows messages then the game may still be seeing the left/right buttons as default. In fact I'd be surprised if most games dont work this way - XMBC generally is only going to be useful remapping buttons that the game does not usua...

Re: Cannot get simulated keystrokes to work (Solved!)
If you are and administrator, then XMBC should run as admin by default on Windows 7. I know that in Windows 7 UAC prevents even admin accounts running as admin by default, offering you the UAC dialog, but XMBC works around this by using a system service (XMouseButton Launcher) to launches XMBC at st...

Re: Cannot get simulated keystrokes to work
This should like a similar issue another user is having when using simulated keystrokes with the mouse wheel. I believe it is a timing issue, in that the wheel does not send a unique down + up message like a button, so the default "during" option where the key is essentially help down as l...

Re: XMBC Icon
Thanks :) Yes I know it does not suport bigger icons - the system tray does not either so not a lot of point! Most of the icons I posted 32x32 because thats the only size I have in the editor - windows auto-scales them to fit. Anyway I still havnt looked into makeing it more customisable but I've ha...

Re: lock axis, how?
Oh and be aware, that I've found axis locking does not work in some games - esp. ones that get the mouse data before windows messages get involved. The feature was requested more for the graphic designers who like to draw straight lines :) Having said that, I think it works in HL2/CSS so some games ...

Re: lock axis, how?
Firstly, sorry but I edited your post to enclose the log in code tags - keeps the display less cluttered :) Secondly, I'm glad its working :) It may be counter-intuitive (I knew you would say something like that :)) but it is what was requested. I agree that it might well be sensible to have a hotke...

Sorry for the massive delay in answering this - I must have missed the notifications on this post
Of course you are right - my mistake I'm afraid. I will fix it in the next build.
Thanks for the feedback.
Phil

Re: Cant get Window Restore function to work
Hi,
This is a bug - and a long standing one! The restore option is doing the same thing as maximize!
I cant believe you are the first to spot this as it must have been there for several years!
Anyway, thanks for the information. It will be fixed in the next version.
Thanks,
Phil

Re: Application Configurations
Sorry about the delay in replying. The profile should switch automatically when the active application changes. I don't know why this might not be working for you. If you turn on debug logging in the general settings tab, then apply that, the log might give some indication of what application is act...

Hi Cliff, how did you get on with that new version I sent you.
Was it any better/different? Should I publish it?
Thanks,
Phil

Re: lock axis, how?
Actually, while were talking about it... do the layer modifier keys work - say if you set CTRL+2 to switch to laeyer 2 (while the combo is held down) does that seems to do anything? And just to confirm, you are holding down the keys - the lock only applies while the keys are actually held down. (and...
