Hi, Firstly, v64Mouse, If you have UAC enabled in Vista and your program runs in admin mode then XMouse will not work in that program unless XMouse runs in admin mode (which it does not do by default). Does the \"Right Mark CPU Clock\" utility ask for elevated permissions every time you st...

XMouse Button Control v1.31

OK this one is a fairly minor update. It adds the {SPACE} simulated keystroke as requested. It adds \"Show Sidebar *Vista Only*\" as requested. It adds an option to reverse the X buttons (4th and 5th buttons) when running under remote desktop. I needed this because my logitech buttons are ...

This week I released version 1.31 It includes the {SPACE} key and also an option in the main list of functions to show the windows vista sidebar. Work has been (and will probably continue to be) rather slow as I've been busy doing other things away from my computer! Let me know if its what you wante...

Yes you can map the wheel button with XMouse. Generally, the wheel is knows as the 3rd button and XMouse is capable of mapping the first 5 buttons.

XMouse doesn't however allow mapping of the actual scrolling of the wheel to other funcitons.

Thanks,
Phil

Let me get this straight before I try and make any changes... You want the ability to do this for all 3 primary buttons (left right and middle) A bit like \"sticky keys\" in that the mouse down (click) registers but the mouse up does nothing. the second mouse down does nothing and the seco...

Hi Kelly, I like the idea, it certainly will have its uses. I will have a look and see if it is possible in the current code base of XMouse (which is now a little in need of repair). Please don't expect miracles in the next few days as I have just returned from vacation and I rather snowed under rig...

Hi, heres a quick reply, Ive just had a very quick check and I can't reproduce that problem here. I have my main buttons mapped as \"Nothing don't intercept\" and the 4th and 5th buttons as Copy / Paste respectively. FYI, I'm using 32bit Vista, with UAC enabled. Let me know your system spe...

Hi Swingle12, Im afraid I have not got a mouse with a side scroll wheel, and until I do, it will not be easy for me to do any work on this. However, I suspect, like the extra mouse buttons (more than 5), it will not be possible to get the messages and thus make side scrolling impossible :( Of course...

It should do :)

I have used it on both 32bit Win2k3 and the 64bit version of InpOut on 64bit (x64) win 2k3.

Thanks,
Phil

I've just had a thought.

Do you have the Visual C++ 2005 SP1 runtimes (redistributable package) installed on your system? It's very possible that InstallDriver needs them and you don't yet have them.

You can get them from Microsoft here

If it dosnt work after that let me know.

Thanks,
Phil

Ahhh \"side by side\" error... I've seen that somewhere else... I think its something to do with the manifest or something - but I've never been able to reproduce it. Is there any way you can install the driver by other means (all you need to do is run the application that uses InpOut32 as...

Most wanted?

Hi, I have had many suggestions, either by email or through this forum, but what I want to know, is where should I spend any effort I have left, to improve XMouse ??? :) To be fair, this is a \"side project\". I like to think of XMouse as a great utility that I use, to improve my computer ...

OK, I got you :)

I think I can do that quite easily - I will add it to the to-do list.
Maybe I can get something done this weekend. I'll post here when I've made the change.

Hi Max, Thanks for the ideas - they sound like good ones on first impression... However, Im a little confused about the {SPACE} because you can already just add a space to the edit box... For example, if you type in to the box 'a b' (withouth the quote) the keys sent would be a space b . I'm plannin...

Hi,

In XMouse you can just use \"Simulated Keystroke\" option and type {DEL} into the box when asked for the key sequence.

I will probably add Delete as a drop down in its own right as your not the first to have asked how to do this.

Thanks,
Phil
