Re: Use 2 key strokes at same time
Oh crap, I was hoping for the Fn key as it is conveniently positioned in the lower left corner but the F keys would still be great for not altering the behavior of the sent keys!

Re: Use 2 key strokes at same time
This is the firs time I tried the Modifier keys. It seems to be a great feature but the change in the key behavior is such a limitation . Isn't it possible to use F1...F12 or the 'Fn' key present on most of the laptops as Layer modifier?

Re: Can't start XMBC on WinXP 32bit
I've played around with the services (on both machines) in the past (disabling some useless services) but all essential services are running and I've never had such issues with other software. Anyway can you think of some service that could be crucial for XMBC and not needed for other software? Is X...

Re: Can't start XMBC on WinXP 32bit
Yes, the installer works fine, it completes the installation normally and when it asks whether to open XMBC I click OK and the homepage opens in my browser but XMBC doesn't start :( On the PC with SP3 I have Avast AV but I always shut it down at windows startup coz it's too slow, so I doubt it. On t...

Re: Can't start XMBC on WinXP 32bit
No luck on XP 32bit SP2 either
Any suggestions about something I should have installed like .NET or anything else that XP needs to run Visual Studio 2015 apps?

Re: Can't start XMBC on WinXP 32bit
Thanks Phil, no hurry though! It's an old quite slow PC at work and maybe it's time for reinstalling windows. I have an XP 32bit SP2 PC at home so tonight I'll try it there.
Greetings!

Re: Use 2 key strokes at same time
Well I tried to find some workaround using Layer modifier keys and here is what happened: (NOTE: I have tried with RMB and Middle button and the result is the same) In Layer 1 I assign to RMB/MB - "9 As mouse button is pressed & when released" In Layer 2 I assign to RMB/MB - "6 re...

Can't start XMBC on WinXP 32bit
Hi Phil, I have read in the Overview that XMBC supports 32bit OS editions and the installation determines what version is required automatically during installation. I tried to install XMBC v2.14 Beta 8 on my old PC with WinXP 32bit SP3 but after the installation XMBC won't strat. Then I downloaded ...

Re: XMBC 2.14 Beta
Currently when clicking on a topic in the forum it always opens the first page, so every time you have to click to the last page to view the most recent posts. It would be more practical if it directly opens the last page of the topic. That way if you use the link of the topic reprogramming will be ...

Re: how to assign a function to a long press of the middle button?
Maybe you could use layer switching commands: In Layer 1 assign Simulated Keys to middle button and type in: {CTRL}C{LAYER2} That way when you copy something XMBC will switch to Layer 2. Then in Layer 2 assign Simulated Keys to middle button and type in: {CTRL}V{LAYER1} So when you paste it, XMBC wi...

Re: XMBC 2.14 Beta
Well I'll try to explain it the way I see it though I'm not sure if I'm on the right track :(. I have seen in MS Word that every character/symbol has a specific code in the different encoding systems (Unicode, ASCII ...). For example if I now press Alt+366 I get the Lowercase 'n' and Alt+334 gives U...

Re: XMBC 2.14 Beta
OK, here is the whole picture, on the left side of the '=' is what's entered in 'Simulated Keys' in XMBC, and on the right side is what gets entered in excel's cell (e.g. Latin letter 'H' corresponds to Cyrillic letter 'X'): Active input: English (United States) Capital Cyrillic letter = Capital Cyr...

Re: XMBC 2.14 Beta
Yes of course :) that's what I did, but it was quite long sequence of commands in excel and it acted differently each time depending on what is initially selected (or what gets selected during the execution), I even thought that there may be some interference between two chords with the same second ...

Re: XMBC 2.14 Beta
Hi Phil, while testing some things it came to my mind that I can increase the 'Delay between simulated keystrokes' to 2-3 sec to see what exactly is going on but it turned out that the maximum value allowed is 60 ms. Can you make higher limit (e.g. some error messages are showing in excel and I need...
