Re: Tilt wheel with MS mouse not work

I noticed one of the FAQs claims that no more than 5 buttons will ever be supported, is this true for Win7? Yes its true for all versions of windows to date. None of them support mouse messages for buttons > 5, and rely of drivers, so provide more buttons. Thus XMBC, which relies on windows message...

Re: Mouse 4/5 and Shift mouse 4/5

I'm glad you got that going. I really need to put some proper documentation together for some of the more advanced features, I just havn't got enough spare time to spread between that and bug fixing amongst all the other things I have to do during the day! With a bit of luck, one day I might have a ...

Re: Mouse 4/5 and Shift mouse 4/5

Urm, yes you should be able to use layers to accomplish this. Setup layer 2 with the commands you want on 4 and 5 when shift is held, then goto advanced settings, and enable modifier keys. Then on the modifier keys tab, under Activate Layer 2, select shift from the drop down, and leave the box to th...

Re: logitech g500 gaming mouse.

FWIW, Linux and Windows are two very different beasts. The only chance of this, without writing a driver, might me direct/raw input. But I have tried this before unsuccessfully. Windows messages, which is what XMBC uses, only works up to five buttons. There is one piece of software that claims to wo...

Re: logitech g500 gaming mouse.

im looking to get this asap, maybe time to add more buttons to xmbc? =) If you can tell me how, then maybe - but read the FAQ as to why it only works with 5 buttons right now - and why its not likely to change until Windows does. I dont konw what you mean by left mini buttons... but then I dont hav...

Re: Left click

There is no auto-repeat per say, but you might be able to do it wit simulated keystrokes (yes you can simulate mouse clicks in there too).

Just use {LMB} in simulated keystrokes, and set to "repeatidly while the button is down". See if that works.

Thanks,
Phil

Re: May be we shoud enhance icon of XMouse Button Control?

Yes, I think your probably right... but that doesn't stop me from liking it hehe...
Of course the problem which this sort of thing, is that everyone wants their own icons.
So the ideal think is to either have a choice, or a way of replacing them (preferably without a patch to the main exe).

Re: May be we shoud enhance icon of XMouse Button Control?

OK this is interesting because I have had an email today from someone else, also with a suggestion for a new icon. Two requests in two days - that must mean the icon is shocking! I'm tempted to open up a survey/poll (on here) as to what icons to use, in case anyone else has any bright ideas. Then I ...

Re: F1-F12

Urr... In the setup dialog, for each button configuration, there is a dropdown list. On that list, you should find Simulated Keystrokes. When you select that item, the simulated keystrokes dialog should open automatically. If you have already selected simulated keystrokes, just select it again - jus...

Re: wheel-scroll aborts Microsoft's document explorer

I've got visual studio 2005 (SP1), 2008 (SP1) and 2010 installed (the joy's of a MSDN sub!)
I develop XMBC with 2008 (SP1).

I'm pretty sure I tried this when you first reported it (with no problems) but I will check again.

Thanks,
Phil

Re: Dragging not working as expected.

Well so far, I've not been able to reproduce it - its working fine and as expected for me (hence no change in 1.52 - which to be fair, I had already completed before the issue was raised). I will try and have another look tonight but I know last time, it was doing what I expected it to do on my mach...

Re: May be we shoud enhance icon of XMouse Button Control?

Interesting, I quite like the icon - its certainly better than the existing one! However, to be included in XMBC, I need not only that icon, but the one that shows the active layer (if you switch layers, the icon changes) so before I make any changes, I would have to have those. Also, is this icon y...

Re: Thank you very much Phil

Thanks for the great feedback, Im glad XMBC is working well for you. Thanks also for the donation, it is much appreciated, but don't think you have to donate more for other installs - that certainly is not nessercery - just like you dont need to thank me evey time you install it - once is fine by me...
