Re: Open With (Windows 10 x64)

Got there eventually :D
I know its quite wordy - I will look into the APPS thing, its probably a mistaken assumption that APPS would be used as a modifier key like CTRL/ALT and it probably needs changing... but at least we found a solution for now!

Re: Open With (Windows 10 x64)

Ahhhh, its not a bug - its the way Windows works (and the way XMBC works sending multiple keys in "button pressed" mode... The problem is that APPS does not show the context menu until it is RELEASED. XMBC treats APPS like a modifier key (like CTRL, ALT, SHIFT) etc and keeps it held down while the n...

Re: Open With (Windows 10 x64)

OK I get it now... Something is most certainly wrong - and I cant reproduce it here - thanks for the detail!
I'll have to dig in to it under the debugger - that will take me some time...

I'll let you know what I find.

Re: Open With (Windows 10 x64)

In my case, since I work with the detailed view, I put a "LEFT" which leads to nothing but is enough to give "APPS" time to open. This is why I said that it was better to have an "APPS: name of the entry in the context menu" as a function This is my fix: {APPS}{WAITMS:700}{LEFT}{DOWN}{DOWN}{DOWN}{D...

Re: Open With (Windows 10 x64)

You could use the LOCKX and LOCKY simkey tags at the beginning AND at the end of the sequence to stop the mouse moving while the sequence is run. {LOCKX}{LOCKY}{APPS}{WAIT:1}{DOWN}{DOWN}{DOWN}{DOWN}{DOWN}{RETURN}{LOCKX}{LOCKY} NOTE: In a future release, these tags will be changed and you will be abl...

Re: Open With (Windows 10 x64)

OK so yeh, that's effectively an explorer shell extension / registering the file types etc... So your telling explorer itself what to do with it. That'll work.

Re: Open With (Windows 10 x64)

I guess, but how would you tell the batch file what files are selected from explorer (other than by running with the batch file or something which just ads more to do)

Re: Open With (Windows 10 x64)

Sorry, but XMBC has not idea what other applications are doing - that is, it has no concept of any selected items in another (Explorer) window so XMBC has no idea that it needs to replace %1 is something else, nor has it the ability to get the path of the selected file in an explorer window that it ...

Re: X-Mouse lagging in VR?

You're a gentleman Phil - no rush - I guess you have your plate full. Yeh pretty full - although today I got a covid 19 positive test so I may be out of action for a bit (which ironically may give me a bit of time for XMBC - if I continue to feel well as I do right now - fingers crossed!) I guess i...

Re: Remap mouse button without app?

I doubt it - you need to install a low level mouse hook (at least thats how XMBC does it) to intercept the messages and inject new ones, you can do that from .NET using WinAPI calls (but it wont be as efficient as doing it from C++ native Win32/x64 apps) but I believe that's a bit beyond the scope o...

Re: X-Mouse lagging in VR?

I do have a VR headset (Oculus Quest) and Ive never noticed any problems myself when linked up to the PC (and as that uses USB, Id expect more problems because of the amount of data transferred across the USB bus) - but I must admit I don't use it all that often. Mostly just for Flightsim 2020 and H...

Re: Function + Layer Switch on one button

Glad that worked, I wont worry too much about the layers. Chording is specifically designed to do what you want and I use it daily (right button + wheel for volume, left for mute and 4th/5th button for play/pause)... Chording was introduced more recently so maybe it wasn't there before (I'm not sure...

Re: Function + Layer Switch on one button

Instead of using layers, can you use Button Chording instead?
That's how I use the wheel to adjust volume when another button is down. Layers *should* work too but first things first, try chording!

Re: No english when i download?

Received message with data 0x80000021 from another instance of X-Mouse Button Control. Because its already running... XMBC Runs automatically and places an XMBC icon in the system tray (down by the clock). No GUI is shown automatically by default. Running a language pack file does show force XMBC t...

Re: Windows 11

I've tried it briefly on an older insider build and noticed no obvious problems (except that it still thinks its Windows 10 when logging the version - no biggie). I've also had several reports from others that it works as normal. But no real usage info on the actual release version yet (I haven't be...
