Re: Default Installing to a removed hard drive

Glad that fixed it - I will have to see if I can modify the installer so it handles such cases better!

Re: Default Installing to a removed hard drive

Thats a new one! The only registry key that XMBC uses is where it is installed - so maybe that's it... The XMBC config file would be on the failed drive I guess. Have a look in the registry for... Key: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Highresolution Enterprises\XMouseButtonControl Value: Install...

Well firstly it should be fixed in 2.17 - but why are you not using 2.19 - and does it still happen in 2.19?

Re: mouse scroll wheel

Yes I get that, but what I was getting at was that even with a delta of 120, there are thousands of messages per second when free-wheeling - and this often can cause problems in XMBC. Nothing major but it still has to be considered. Just intercepting that many messages in a mouse hook is a bit resou...

Re: mouse scroll wheel

OK That is interesting, I didn't realize the Logitech software did this - I tend not to install the Logitech bloatware at all and rely solely on XMBC :) Maybe I'll have to install it on a test machine and see what I can find. XMBC does already read the delta's so in theory it should be honoring it -...

Re: Scroll window under cursor stopped working

Windows 10 SHOULD do this anyway itself (you shouldn't need XMBC to do this these days although it *should* still do it if its turned on). Note really sure what to suggest as you appear to have already tried all the things I would normally suggest. This may be a case for debug logging... In the upda...

Re: I can't assign Alt + shift + 3

I'm sure XMBC should work - unless there is something in ProTools itself causing problems. I'll try and have a look this weekend if I get a moment... Its strange that although we cant really go anywhere in the UK, I seem to still not be able to find any time for XMBC :( - Ironically now I seem to do...

Re: mouse scroll wheel

Hi, I don't believe this theory (good as it my be) is correct in this case... The mouse can't send more "messages" per angle only in a web browser or any other application. A web browser (or any application) *could* change they way it behaves to each scroll message but thats irrelevant here as were ...

Re: Wheel Keys Sequence As Turned {F1}{F2}{F3}...{F10}{F1}

Yes, layers is the only way to do this as it stands using XMBC alone. The key is to send the simkey command to change layer after the {F1}, like {F1}{LAYER:2} or {F1}{LAYER:NEXT} Then on layer 2, {F2}{LAYER:NEXT} and so on... When you get to the last key in sequence, you can use {LAYER1} - then it s...

I'm glad you have a solution....

Ive updated your user level so you can now post screenshots, links etc. (NOTE: Thisis usually automatic after 4 or 5 posts).
It would be good for others who are looking for similar solutions.

Re: Can i hold "w" and repeat shift at same time?

OK, I will have to look at the code to see if there is a way of triggering just a shift key (without it acting as a modifier for the following key) thats how {SHIFT}{CTRL}{ALT} etc are normally used so I guess it may be assumed....

Re: Need a Command for ADS + Hold the Breath

No problem - glad that worked cos otherwise I'd be a bit stumped! I know where you coming from re the 20+ years of gaming - fingers starting to hurt?! :) I don't personally care what people use XMBC for - if they want to cheat (and I'm not saying this it at all), that's on them. There have been inci...

Re: Simulated keys are not working in-game

Many games do not allow tools such as XMBC to run because they consider it cheating. Some games actively ban people who use such tools too - so beware! As the FAQ explains, many games BLOCK simulated keys (any keys injected by MS's SendInput API) They either do this intentionally (to prevent cheatin...

Whilst I don't condone cheating in games (and beware some games ban people for using tools like XMBC!) have you tries {WAITMS:300} instead of {HOLDMS:300}?

Re: I can't assign Alt + shift + 3

If you can get it working in autohotkey, then you could do that - certainly in the short term - you can execute a compiled AHK script when you press a button (using the Run command I guess) but equally if it works in autohotkey then really it should be possible to make it work in XMBC - if its a bug...
