THANK YOU. Portable version + startup folder shortcut works perfectly. I used the user profile one, not global (didn't want to bother with permissions reset) C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup This was driving me a little nuts.
