highrez.co.uk flagged by Symantec

Recently, Symantec began categorizing highrez.co.uk as a distributor of malware. This means that anyone using Norton ConnectSafe DNS will not be able to (easily) check for updates or visit the site for as long as this categorization remains in effect. Please note that I am not responsible for this a...

Re: Please stop launching firefox.exe after upgrades

No, it's a crapfest. After posting above, I went into Control Panel to make sure this digital turd masquerading as an operating system was set correctly, and now URL files RENDER AS TEXT IN CHROME when opened via association.

I'm not asking for help, just venting. :)

Re: Please stop launching firefox.exe after upgrades

Strange. I hate Windows 10. Should have known it was at fault.

Sorry to sh** on you for nothing.

Please stop launching firefox.exe after upgrades

I've noticed that XMBC launches firefox.exe specifically by command line after upgrades are installed. I only have Fx installed for testing, and having it launch unexpectedly (in this case, now that I know XMBC does this, if I forget that XMBC will launch it) messes me up. Could you just open the UR...

Re: XMBC EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION

For my part, I had this issue once and it hasn't happened since. My PC is pretty stout, though, I guess that could factor in.

Thanks, Phil! Enjoy your time away.

Re: XMBC EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION

I've been running beta 2 since you emailed it. Haven't had any more issues.

Re: XMBC EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION

Thanks for the reply. I'd be happy to try the beta. I have not been running XMBC for very long, but I never had this issue with the previous version. I do realize that this doesn't mean the changes in the new version are at fault. Please feel free to email a URL or setup package to my forum email ad...

Aggravated by pointer speed

WinXP Pro SP-3 XMBC 2.2 I have an old Logitech MX 518 mouse. I'm using it with the standard Windows drivers ("HID-compliant mouse"). I got absolutely fed up with Logitech SetPoint awhile back, and today I finally got around to reinstalling XMBC. This has given me most of what I got from Se...

Re: Bug Report (Buttons disabled for other windows)

I just had this problem again. Closing XBMC does not fix it. Even logging off and back on hasn't fixed it.

I enabled debug logging, but... Where is the log? I searched my entire drive and sorted on "modified date/time", yet I see nothing.

Re: Bug Report (Buttons disabled for other windows)

I have this problem as well. Sometimes I can go days without having it. But today, it's in full force. It's beyond aggravating. (Sorry, it is.) When trying to post this message, I kept finding that I couldn't click links in Firefox. I'd minimize and restore the Firefox window, and then links would w...

Re: Can logging be disabled?

Thank you; that works.

I found out the hard way that XBMC doesn't like you to remove the <Applications/> section, even if it's empty. :)

Maybe I'm using it wrong, but I'm still getting log entries, even using the /NoLog switch:

Re: Can logging be disabled?

Thank you kindly for the reply.

I would prefer to be able to disable it, but I am not so arrogant as to expect you to take your time to add such an option.

How large does the log grow--10MB? On my system, every MB counts...
