XMBC Version: 2.18.3
Windows Version: 7
Mouse Information (brand/model): Logitech
Computer Information: HP
Did the problem occur after an upgrade of XMBC?: N
Did the problem occur after a Windows update/upgrade?: N
How long have you used XMBC?: newby, about one month
What language and keyboard layout do you use in Windows?: german

Clear description of the problem:

Hi @ all,

may i kindly ask you for help, please?

I have to assign different profiles to different web based applications (=different URLS). I did not get it working, because i did not find a way how to add the url info. Adding the class, parent class info or the built in window finder did not work, it seems it is possible to use them for this purpose.

Thanks for your help

Tom

If you tick the "Window title" checkbox in the advanced window finder, you may be able to do it based on the window title (you can use * or regular expressions to specify the window title to use) but that's the only way it may be possible to work. And I haven't tested it with chrome recently.

Hi Phil,
many thanks for your fast response.

Just to make sure that i fully understood your proposal :

I found the windowtitle with the tool "GUIPropview" : its BMC.......and so on
I added the String BMC* and BMC% into the "Caption" Detail and activated it with the checkbox
Class is set to "Chrome_RenderWidgetHostHWND"
Parent Class is "Chrome_WidgetWin_1"
Match Type is "Window"
"only match if there is no parent class" is not checked

Both have the same result : the window will not be recognized , the Profile not selected ..

THX
Tom

Yeh, I just had a look, and it seems Chrome does not put the tab title into the window title (like Firefox does) so its not going to work.
The tab title text is there, but in a parent window. This gave me an idea...

Try this:

1. Turn on Regular Expression Matching
2. In the Caption, type BMC.* (the .* is important in regex as it means followed by any number of any character)
3. In the process: chrome.exe
4. In the class: Chrome_WidgetWin.*
5. In the parent class: <leave blank>
6. Set Match Type: Parent Window.

This works for me - but I havn't tried it with lots of tabs (Im at work right now so cant do too much!) so I don't know how accurate it will be.
