more buttons and profiles

Post by vjhighrez »

Just nit picking:
i see that xmouse detects buttons 1 through 5... my mouse has 3 more buttons... 6 through 8. Would be nice if i could customize these too.

I would also like xmouse to detect when it's over (i.e. hovering) the taskbar (or super bar in win7) so that i can set a completely different set of button customizations there.
it would be nice if there was a distinction between the "default" profile and possibly a "desktop" profile.

apart from the above things i think xMouse is absolutely amazing. coupled with autoHotKey for my keyboard it's absolutely perfect. (i use the 64bit version)

In answer to your first point about the buttons, all I can say is please read the FAQ. It clearly (I think) explains why XMBC can not see more than 5 buttons. Sorry but I cant change it :(.

As for the second quesiton, Im not sure if its possible to detect when over the start bar, basically the desktop (inc task bar and start ment) are all Explorer.exe so you could use that but obviously that also covers all windows explorer folder windows :(

I will have a look to see if its possible to detect the task bar another way but I cant promise anything.

Other than that, Im glad that you like XMBC apart from these issues :)
