Window focus following mouse?

Post by adrian_vg »

Hi all,

Am I missing something here, or doesn't XMBC support a "window focus follows mouse"?

All I can find in the settings is a "Make scroll wheel scroll window under cursor"-option.

Thanks.

No it does not support that feature right now. It has been requested before but right now, that is not the primary goal of XMBC which is to remap mouse buttons. Maybe in a future version this will be implemented, Im not sure how involved it will be (probably not much effort).

Thanks,
Phil

Alright, thanks. I've been misled by the name "XMouse"! The X-mouse function was my primary interest, but after having used XMBC, it kinda' sticks. Installed it at home first, and then at work too. Thanks for a nice piece of software! Looking forward to true X-mouse behaviour in the future.

Yes, that function is what I want, but I found it most sluggish and also interfering with WinSCP. Therefore I looked for some different kind of solution. Perhaps the built-in mouse focus in Win7 can be tweaked to react instantly and also not bring any windows to the foreground. I'll keep looking for now. Thanks.
