Need help with sending a key, holding down mouse button.

Post by xerkon » Mon Jan 22, 2018 7:33 am

Hi! Trying to figure out how to do the following: User presses right mouse button and holds for a time and then releases. That's the action. What I want is to send a key stroke (f5) upon press, then hold the right button down until released and then send another key (f1).

I set simulated key strokes to {f5}{rmb} and chose option 3 - during (press on down, release on up), and got halfway there (although I wonder, is it continually pressing F5?) but not sure if it's possible to add a key press when mouse button is released.

Yes that will hold F5 while the button is held.

I suspect what you are trying to do is currently not possible with the limited scripting in XMBC,
You could try this with method 3... Although I'm not 100% sure and I havn't got time to test it right now (late for work)....

Thanks, Phil. I've been using Auto Hot Key in conjunction with X-Mouse and realized I could probably program what I need there.
