Thanks!, and a request

First I want to thank you for this app. I just got a Habu mouse and immediately missed intellimouse features and was about to start coding my own utility using AutoHotkey but found this first :D .

Second, one feature that I do still miss that Intellimouse has is scrolling acceleration. Do you think its possible to do on Xmouse? I guess how it kinda works is detecting if there's a "hit" of the scroll wheel before a certain time delay and then performs another scrolling operation.

Hi,

Firstly, glad you find it useful :)
Unfortunatly the scrolling acceleration I have tried to do in the past with little success.

Having said that, that was before and I do have more access to the scroll wheel now. But how would it work... If you scroll 1 notch, do the default scroll, 2 notches - do 3 scrolls? 3 nothes, 6 scrolls ?????

Thanks,
Phil

That's how I thought it works but now I'm not so sure because thinking about games for example i a FPS where the wheel is used to switch weapons, I think intellipoint doesn't accelerate in that case. Maybe it works by detecting if there's a scroll control in the active window?

that makes sense actually, in fact the acceleration is probably not on the wheel message itself but the scroll messages. That of course would introduce another complication into XMBC as right now I'm only monitoring mouse messages.

All I can say is if I have any good ideas about how to do it, I'll let you know but don't get your hopes up!.

Thanks,
Phil
