Greetings!
I am in trouble since I can't get XMBC to work the way I want it to...
So, basically, what I want it to do, is:
Press mouse button 5: do X (original button function)
Press mouse button 5 again: simulate key Y, and switch back to doing X
But the program does not allow me to do that, I tried to set it as follows:
Layer 1: Mouse Button 5: Switch to layer 2 (without intercepting original key, since it is assigned to do X inside the program)
Layer 2: Mouse Button 5: simulate key Y and switch back to layer 1
There are two problems with that:
1. Program does not allow to have layer switching on the same button on one layer while having button simulation on other layers (choosing eg. MB5 to switch layer on 1st layer forces this option on all layers)
2. When I choose layer switching on a certain button, options window is not accessible for the said button, and I can no longer disable "Block original mouse input" so that first keypress does it's original function and switches layers at the same time.
I would be very thankful to anyone who would help me with a described problem...

Re: A problem with layers
The layer switching ion the dropdown is a little different and its a temporary switch while the button is held, hence it not allowing the button to be configured on the layer you are switching too (because its already assigned and held down).
However, you should be able to do this all with simulated keystrokes (on both layers) as you can switch layers using the {LAYER:1}, {LAYER:2} tags.
So on layer 1, set to simulated keystrokes and {MB5}{LAYER:2}
and on layer 2, set to simulated keystrokes and Y{LAYER:1}
Thanks,
Phil
