OpenBroadcastSoftware bind problem.

Post by rTik » Sun Sep 10, 2017 10:01 pm

I cannot use Mouse 4/5 for binds in OBS Classic and Studio when I have my mouse 4/5 on Disabled, but I can use it in games/teamspeak/discord and most of the other stuff. I can't use mouse4/5 for PTT e.g. when I have it on "Disabled" and I do that to stop "Page forwards/Backwards" since thats really annoying and I use Mouse 4 for push to talk in teamspeak/discord and few other things. I did you autohotkey for Push To talk but that kinda bad too since I had it on something like "NumpadDec" whenever I pressed Mouse 4 whilst typing would put decimal's. Is there an easier way around this without having to change my push to talks or having mouse forward/backwards enabled.

I don't know OBS so I'm not sure what to suggest...
You could map to a key that does not impact typing - like F12 or even F13-15 which aren't there on most keyboards.

Maybe you could have a different app specific profile for the games/apps where you want to use PTT which does not disable the buttons. The profile should switch automatically when the target app is running.
