Help with Scroll for VB6 app in Azure VM

Post by AliceLT » Wed Aug 09, 2017 2:36 am

Hi Everyone,

I currently have a VB6 application that I am hosting in Azure Vm's for my clients. I decided to use your prgram because the mouse scroll would not activate When the VB6 software was installed on the Azure VM. The VM is Windows 10 pro. I can not get the application to scroll but the scroll is scrolling like 3-5 lines per scroll (its jumping very far down and up the page) and I want it to scroll 1 line at a time like it would normally in any other application like WORD.

The only way I got the application to scroll was by selecting these options.

Wheel up: Simulated Keys: pressed {pgup}
Wheel down: Simulated Keys: pressed {pgdn}

Is there a custom key I am missing that would allow it to scroll 1 line at a time?

Thank you!

Here are my VB6 profiles - you can import and try them by double clicking them (open them in XMBC).
The use a different scroll method (on the scrolling tab).

I haven't used them for a while so I dont know if they still work in VB6 on Windows 10, but they should be OK.
Scrolling VB6.EXE (1).xmbcs
Scrolling VB6.EXE (2).xmbcs
These should scroll however many lines are set it the "Lines to scroll" which is by default 3 (like word!).
You can change this on the scrolling tab!
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Hi Phil,

I am not sure If I am applying them correctly. Do I add the VB6 application, which in this case is called: tcfpb.exe, then I apply this?

Working with a beginner here... Sorry

Also is there a customize key that would act more like arrow up and arrow down for the simulated keys?

Oh sorry, I mistook "VB6 application" for "VB6" (i.e. the actual development environment).
My profiles may work for the vb6 application but you will have to change the name of the application form "vb6.exe" to the executable name of your application as you suggested to the name of your application.

In Simulated keystrokes, arrow up/down is simply {UP} / {DOWN}
"Direction key tags: {UP} {DOWN} {LEFT} {RIGHT}"

Thanks,
Phil
