Problem Sending 3+ buttons

Post by StevenH » Wed Aug 02, 2017 8:11 pm

Hello, i have a little problem when i play :

I use chord button like :

RightButton > Button Chording
if : Right Button + mouse4 = NUMPAD7
if : RightButton + mouse5 = NUMPAD9

to activate look right, look left. It works perfectly ! but, i cannot shoot ^^ left mouse button doesnt work after this chord.
I tested ingame multiple combination, the problem comes from the chording.
Can someone help me ?

thank you very much

Hi what game? maybe I can try and reproduce it here.
If not, then maybe some debug logging - you can turn that on in settings -> updates and logging.

Once turned on, play and perform the chord then try shooting... Then send me the log.
NOTE: It would be good if you can make a not of the time you try shooting so I can find it in the log easier :).

OK Thanks,

That's interesting, it looks like it is blocking the left button after the chord for some reason.
I'll try and take some time to investigating the log in a little more detail and get back to you.

Thanks,
Phil

do you mean if the left button is down when you press the right (chord) button sometimes the left button does not get released? Or does this happen even if the left button is not pressed at the time?

OK There was an intentional piece of code that said, if you are chording, then ignore any other buttons... Clearly this is not sensible - so I have changed it. I am a little concerned about side effects but it appears to work here, so when you get back from your holidays, please try 2.17 beta 3 and see if it fixes these problems.

Thanks,
Phil

Hi Phil !

Great !! the function works now ! thank you very much :)

New problem appears, sometimes, the chord stay locked (target key stay activated) and sometimes the left button after the chord stay activated until i repeat the chord, i'll send you appropriate log when possible.
