XMouse Button Ctrl+Alt+Del Bug?

Post by stubbs21087 » Tue Jul 18, 2017 12:37 pm

I'm having an issue. Every time I start my computer with XMouse Button Control the program simulates a Ctrl+Alt+Del key press. My computer then goes to the lock screen so I have to press escape or cancel to get out of it. If I deactivate the program I do not get this issue. The only thing I am using XMouse for is to simulate key strokes for buttons 4 and 5 ( {Alt}{F1} and {F1} respectively) Anyone else having this issue?

Thanks
Matt

What version of XMBC?
Some people had this problem a few years ago and I could never find a reason for it. If I recall, it went away when they reinstalled windows so we put it down to a windows problem, not XMBC.

For what it is worth, there is nothing in XMBC that should cause any such behavior, certainly no simulated keystrokes other than anything you define yourself. It might be worth searching the forums and asking those who had the problem in the past if they ever resolved it and how.

Some positive progression on this, yet another report of this problem, and this time with more details.
It looks like the problem was introduced between v2.11.1 and v2.12.2...

This should help me narrow it down, I'm working with the user to diagnose and debug the problem via remote teamviewer session - and I hope I will be able to isolate the issue and have it fixed in the next beta.

I'll let you know what I find.

Thanks,
Phil

I have found the problem.
Once function I was calling, which I thought checked if the application had permissions to run as an accessibility tool, actually caused this screen to come up - my mistake (I dont understand why this problem does not happen to everyone, including me!).

I have removed the call and everything appears to be normal.

2.17 Beta 2 has the fix.

Thanks,
Phil

Thanks for the info. Sorry I never answered your question but I'm glad you were able to figure out what the problem was. I will try out the new beta version and see if that fixes the issue.
