XMBC 2.13 Beta

Post by phil »

OK, I have finally begun the next beta phase with XMBC v2.13 Beta 1.

If you have check for beta versions enabled, you should get notified of a new version and prompted to update in the next day or so. This is the most efficient method (bandwidth wise) as the updates are only a fraction of the size of the full install. Otherwise, you can get the full installation beta HERE. Note that this link will always get you the latest beta version!

Changes since v2.12.1:
  • #364 - Added 'mouse jiggler' functionality to disable inactivity timers and delay screen saver/lock screen.
  • #363 - Added "Change Movement To Scroll Inverted" option to invert scroll vertical direction.
  • #361 - Fix made to try and catch error when balloon messages are disabled, causing XMBC to stop working.
  • #360 - Made the setup window wider to accommodate more language translation text.
  • #359 - Modified the simulated keystrokes code for {MXADD} and {MXSET} to ensure actions are applied in sequence.
  • #358 - Added an option to make the "Change Movement to Scroll" cursor change optional.
  • #354 - Fixed a bug causing Open Office drop downs to close when trying to scroll them.
There is a new language template with some new translations for the new update features.

Any problems, PM me a copy of the log file (or post a snippet in a code block here).

Thanks,
Phil

If you were very quick, you may have an error when running XMBC saying something like "Server refused a referral" or something. If that happens, please download the beta again and re-run the installer.

Thanks,
Phil

It's never failed me; hung; frozen; slowed; or interfered with the many games I like to play.

Hi, thanks for letting me know. Any chance you can be a little more specific just to help debug the issue?
For example, does it just send the left button without the control key?
I was expecting some problems, but not with as simple sequences as that!

Thanks,
Phil

I've used this hook a long time with a digital dictionary that translates a word under cursor on Ctrl+LMB click. Thank you a lot for this)

Now LMB click is sent, but Ctrl is not.

Do you need any other details?

Yes, OK thanks. As I said in the beta release note above, I expected some errors.
