Excel change sheet " control + AVPAG"

Post by raulgs82 » Wed Nov 25, 2015 10:47 am

I have been trying to configure one button, to change betwen sheets in excel.
The problem, is that when i configure it on the program, it changes the sheet inside the menu instead of assingning it.

The secuence is “ control + AvPag “

How can i configure this action?
I want to change sheets inside a booksheet in excel with one click.

Thanks!!!

This is what i want to do...
"... So in order to move through sheets or tabs in an Excel workbook using the keyboard, simply press and hold CTRL and then press the PgUp or PgDn buttons to move from right-to-left or left-to-right! That’s it...!

But when i configure in the program, it switch to otrher window of the menu, instead of assign to a button.

I don't understand what you mean by this:
But when i configure in the program, it switch to other window of the menu, instead of assign to a button.
.

But this should work:
For the button you want to set, select "Simulated Keystrokes"
Then in the simulated keystrokes window that pops up, type {CTRL}{PAGEUP} or {CTRL}{PAGEUP} in the text field.

Don't forget to apply your settings.
That should do it (I just tested it in Excel 2016 here and it worked).

NOTE: Ideally you should create a profile for Excel if you havn't already done so, and only configure the buttons in that profile, so XMBC doesn't try and do that globally for all other applications :)

Thanks,
Phil

Is there a way to make the change program specific to Excel (or any program)?

For example: I've mapped simulated keys {Ctrl}{Pgup} to button 4 and {Ctrl}{Pgdn} to button 5; to switch between tabs for Excel.

I would prefer to have the default settings in google chrome (forwards/back).

Can I do this? Without switching layers?

P.S. I'm a newbie to this program, but I like it.

Of course - that is the main funcionality of XMBC (to be able to have different mappings per program).

Create a new application profile just for excell.
1. Open Excell, then on the main XMBC screen, press the ADD button (under the application profile list)
2. Find/select Excell.exe in the application list
3. Press OK.
4. Now you can setup the profile for Excell to as fits, and other applications will use the "default" profile (so you can take the simkeys off of that one.

Thanks,
Phil
