Hi again,

I've now tried this with XP SP2 and SP3 (x86) and XP x64 SP1
No matter what I try, I can't reproduce this problem on XP.

I wonder if you have some other software that is hooking the mouse and getting in there before XMBC, or something stopping the hook being applied at start (maybe AV software?) although I would expect errors in the log if that happened.

Sorry, but I don't know what to try next.
Maybe you could try using the service launcher I wrote for Vista - it should work with XP but its not installed on XP. I can send you the executable and instructions if you want to try it?
