Re: What do you want from portable mode?

heh.. funny, I was just doing some work on this. I agree that portable mode uses the settings in the same folder... Thats a given. I'm not sure about the separate executable - that is more trouble than its worth I think. Right this minute Im trying to "detect" automatically based on the location of ...

Re: XMouse Button Control 1.40

OK, I've now got a Windows 7 beta 1 Vm setup... Copy (CTRL+C) and Paste (CTRL+V) are working with UAC enabled on my Windows 7 Vm in notepad & IE. I will try disabling UAC later. If you leave the XMBC setup window visible, do the 4th and 5th combo-boxes highlight when you press the 4th and 5th button...

Re: XMouse Button Control 1.40

Is this a bug report? It might have been good to start a new topic but never mind. 1) With UAC off, the service will not launch XMBC (its a bug but its not a major problem because the service's purpose is to get round UAC - which you don't have. Just stick a short cut to xmbc in the startup folder f...

Re: 1.40 actual application

When you say a bad set of rules, do you mean that it assigns the wrong buttons to that application? Is it any particular application or any (at random). I would have suggested using the new debugging option but I've found some errors in that logging - specifically to do with the active application l...

Re: Doesn't work in Fear2

OK that's good news. then its an application specific issue. And I bet its because you used STEAM.EXE as the application process name! Lets now try and get it working as application specific again..... I'm guessing that the main problem is that steam.exe is NOT the process name for FEAR2, but more l...

Re: A problem with InpOut32.Dll

Hi, As far as I know, ImpOut does not (and never has) supported USB interfaces. There is not a lot I can do about that because I dont have any knowledge about drivers (I just made the code 64bit compliant and built it using the MS 64bit DDK). You need to ask this question of Logix4U. I suspect he wi...

Re: Doesn't work in Fear2

If I understand you correctly are you suggesting that I reassign the default keys in the game menu that I want and then assign the mouse x & y side buttons to the new keys that I assigned them too within the game controls setting? OK, that's not quite what I meant... By the way I now have tried XMB...

By the way, in case you missed it, I believe this is now working as of v.1.40 :)
Let me know if its not working for you.

Thanks,

What do you want from portable mode?

OK, So I have been doing some work on XMBC again, and this time its going to be portable :) I've managed to change the code to use an XML style config file rather than the registry. The usual save/load location is hidden away deep down in your application data user profile directory BUT I have also ...

Re: Doesn't work in Fear2

Are you using an application specific settings for fear2.exe ??? If so, can you please try deleting that app specific setting and changing the default settings, to see if it works. Also, do you have the MS mouse software installed as well as XMBC? This could be interfering - although if the drop dow...

Re: Doesn't work in Fear2

As I've said in other posts, its probably because the game intercepts the injected keystrokes and disregards them in an effort to prevent cheating. However, its possible its just a "bug" :) I am going to get hold of Fear2 (it looks pretty good) so I will be able to test this for myself. Its nothing ...

Re: Emulating shift and ctrl

Hi, I understand what you are saying, but all the testing I've done here shows this function to be working. I have set {SHIFT} on the 4th mouse button and then holding button 4 down is the same as holding shift down. I've tried this in several applications inc. Notepad, Firefox, Explorer, Word, Outl...

Re: Emulating shift and ctrl

Yes this is possible.
Use the simulated keystrokes and for shift, type {SHIFT} and control {CTRL}

I believe this should do what you are expecting (assuming I understand you correctly). If it does not seem to work, let me know and I will investigate further.

Thanks,
Phil

Re: X-mouse tilt activation

Are you running on Vista or later - if so, it should be enabled, there is no need to "enable" it?
Tilt functionality only works on Vista and later because earlier OS's do not natively support the messages for the horizontal scrolling from the wheel.

Thanks,
Phil
