Hi Swingle12, Im afraid I have not got a mouse with a side scroll wheel, and until I do, it will not be easy for me to do any work on this. However, I suspect, like the extra mouse buttons (more than 5), it will not be possible to get the messages and thus make side scrolling impossible :( Of course...

It should do :)

I have used it on both 32bit Win2k3 and the 64bit version of InpOut on 64bit (x64) win 2k3.

Thanks,
Phil

I've just had a thought.

Do you have the Visual C++ 2005 SP1 runtimes (redistributable package) installed on your system? It's very possible that InstallDriver needs them and you don't yet have them.

You can get them from Microsoft here

If it dosnt work after that let me know.

Thanks,
Phil

Ahhh \"side by side\" error... I've seen that somewhere else... I think its something to do with the manifest or something - but I've never been able to reproduce it. Is there any way you can install the driver by other means (all you need to do is run the application that uses InpOut32 as administr...

Most wanted?

Hi, I have had many suggestions, either by email or through this forum, but what I want to know, is where should I spend any effort I have left, to improve XMouse ??? :) To be fair, this is a \"side project\". I like to think of XMouse as a great utility that I use, to improve my computer experience...

OK, I got you :)

I think I can do that quite easily - I will add it to the to-do list.
Maybe I can get something done this weekend. I'll post here when I've made the change.

Hi Max, Thanks for the ideas - they sound like good ones on first impression... However, Im a little confused about the {SPACE} because you can already just add a space to the edit box... For example, if you type in to the box 'a b' (withouth the quote) the keys sent would be a space b . I'm plannin...

Hi,

In XMouse you can just use \"Simulated Keystroke\" option and type {DEL} into the box when asked for the key sequence.

I will probably add Delete as a drop down in its own right as your not the first to have asked how to do this.

Thanks,
Phil

Hi, I'm glad you figured it out. I'm not sure what you mean \"Missing the delete function\"? Is that something I can add to XMouse or something on your mouse? I have a 8 button Logitech mouse (MX518), but I cant get buttons 6, 7 and 8 working no matter how hard I try :( it seems that the mouse itsel...

Hi imdadathome, Glad you like X-Mouse. You right that the \"Application specific\" option allows you to set-up and save the actions for specific applications. All you have to do is tick the application specific box which shows a list as well as an add and remove button. Press the ADD button and it a...

New version

Just in case anyone is monitoring this forum, I thought I'd let you know that there have been several new versions on XMouse in the last week or so. Primarily we are now at v1.30 although we went through 1.29 and 1.29.1 to get there :) Of course the best place to find out what has changed is the cha...

Logix4U Forum & Information

Please be aware that I, Phil, did not write InpOut32. All I did was port it to 64bit Windows. The driver in my port is signed, so it works on 32bit and 64bit windows, however, it was not signed by me but by one of the users of my port. This is why the digital signature appears as "RedFox.co.uk". Fir...

Vista compatibility

OK, I have uploaded v1.0.0.8 to my website. This is NOT a 64bit update, it is an update that includes an InstallDriver.EXE file which simply runs with elevated privileges to allow the driver to be installed in Windows Vista 32bit. If the driver was not installed (fresh install) then you need adminis...

Ok, well its very odd... I don't understand why it would work for me and not you, on the same OS and service pack level...

I'll have another test tomorrow, but it seems from today's experiments that this one is not going to be easy to track down :(

Ok, I've just tried this on my desktop at work, which is XP SP2 and VS 2005 SP1.

It works fine here too !!

What version of XMBC are you running?
