Re: XMBC 2.18 Beta

Here is 2.18 Beta 10. Ive been rather busy recently and haven't had much time to spend on XMBC. I'm afraid that's going to continue for some weeks yet but today I got some time to get a few little fixes in! If you have check for beta versions enabled, you should get notified of a new version and pro...

Re: Please help translation XMBC to your language?

I will fix the missing => :) But performing is not the correct word. The last timed action is started (simulated button down) as soon as its time is valid. The point of this option is that the simulated button up is not sent until the physical button is released, hence the word "released" When this ...

Re: XMBC frequently resets to default settings randomly.

Just curious, rather than reinstall, if you exit XMBC (right click the icon in the system tray and select exit) then rerun it again from the start menu, does that "fix" your missing settings (I bet it does)? To me, it sound like the mouse hook is getting removed by something else - and that means XM...

Re: Changing the functionality of MMB in SketchUp

Well, if you want to make the MMB pan, then you could use simulated keystrokes and set method 3 (during) and use the key simkey sequence: {SHIFT}{MMB} ... But that will then prevent MMB from working with orbit I suspect.... And to make orbit work when shift is held down is more tricky... You could m...

Re: Scroll inactive window, with EXCEL open

I'm afraid, if MS have changed something in Windows 10 to fix this, then I suspect you are out of luck with Win 7!
XMBC is not able to fix it properly as I said before, this one has had me stumped for some time!

Re: Add the TEXT INSERT function Добавьте функцию «ВСТАВКА ТЕКСТА»

Hi, simulated keystrokes allows to to type any text info the active field. You can also simulate a left button click to select the field under the cursor first before typing!

That is about the best you will get - and it's already possible!

Thanks,
Phil

Re: How to paste a customized text with Mouse click ?

If you want an upper case character, put {shift} in front of it - just like you have to press shift of the keyboard! As for links, what do you mean.. Remember, simulated keystrokes are just that, so you are simulating key presses, therefore, if you can type it on the keyboard, you should be able to ...

Re: Different actions on button pressed & release How?

In theory you should be able to do it with method 9, and use the {PRESS} and {RELEASE} tags but actually thats not quite how they were supposed to work. But, in 2.18 Beta (available in the beta thread here on the forums) you can do this with some new prefix tags in simulated keystrokes... {OD} Only ...

Re: XMBC frequently resets to default settings randomly.

Yes, the red indicates debug is enabled!
Bear in mind, next time XMBC restarts, debug will be off again - lets hope it stops working quickly and the log proves useful!

Hi, unfortunately the log does not tell me much at all without debug logging enabled. There is nothing obvious there...
Debug logging is much more verbose!

Re: XMBC frequently resets to default settings randomly.

Ah OK, so its like XMBC is exiting/crashing or simply being disabled - causing the mouse buttons to not be re-mapped. If its crashing or exiting, then the XMBC icon (in the system tray, to the right of the taskbar by the clock) will go away until you re-load it? If its being disabled, the icon will ...

Re: XMBC frequently resets to default settings randomly.

That's certainly odd and not something I have seen... XMBC stores its settings in an xml settings file (somewhere under your user profile by default). You can load and save other profiles, which get saved as XMBCS files - which if you double click, will open in XMBC (thus changing your settings) but...

Re: Scroll inactive window, with EXCEL open

Hi, Excel is a royal pain the the A*S. It has been a problem for longer than since 2016 in my experience but there is nothing I can do about it. Well no more than I am already doing. I'm afraid I gave up a long time ago trying to fix specific problems with Excel. Having said that, I just tried your ...
