Re: Random Freeze Up

OK the positive news - I think I have found and fixed the problem. Not 100% sure (can you ever be with random issues) but I think I know whats going on. the first problem (which you overcame by waiting a bit longer): Is a genuine problem and is caused by movement of the cursor position between the r...

Re: Random Freeze Up

Hi, Unfortunately it sounds like it could be a bug... I've not personally used change movement to scroll with button held and I bet something is getting confused in there. I will have to try to reproduce it here - unfortunately these "random" issues are far less easy to track down which makes findin...

Re: Next/previous window

Yes there are key strokes to do this, in fact all XMBC does is press those keys. ALT + ESCAPE = Next Window SHIFT+ALT+ESCAPE = Previous Window I'm afraid if the behavior has changed, then its probably a Windows change (certainly XMBC hasn't change these actions in years) which means if its not worki...

Re: Please help translation XMBC to your language?

Hi Phil, At the bottom of Simkeys panel, there are " Cursor Position: X,Y ( AX, AY ) - XXX, YYY ( xxx, yyy ) " labels [ *** hereafter, I will write the valie of "AX, AY (xxx, yyy)" as " xxx, yyy " *** ]. In the help text, {ASET:x,y} is explained as "relative to active window" and {PSET:x,y} as "rel...

Re: Please help translation XMBC to your language?

Yes I think you are right... Needless to say a lot has changed since 2.4 :) The problem, if I remove Japanese 2, and just have one file, then anyone using Japanese 2 will maybe miss the fact and stick with an old version of Japanese2 rather than Japanese which will be the most up to date. What might...

They are two different options. The text on page 5 is wrong (clearly).
It should be:

Re: Sluggish "mouse over" detection

Yes... negative absolute position values in the low level mouse hook (outside the screen area).. and yes, I changed it to call GetCursorPos() which appears to work here but there may still be an issue after your feedback to my PM this morning... EDIT As well as the debug log I asked for, can you ple...

Re: Sluggish "mouse over" detection

OK Some progress... Looks like its nothing to do with my timers. Actually what is happening, is that the reported mouse cursor position is incorrect (when chrome is maximized) and the mouse moved rapidly to the top of the screen. I'm seeing negative Y position values (-3, -5 etc) - ie, off the top o...

Re: Sluggish "mouse over" detection

As I said, I expected it wouldn't make a difference, but I needed to be sure.
I'll try and have a look when I get home from work and get back to you if I find anything of note.

Re: Sluggish "mouse over" detection

The process over has changed in 2.18, but it has always been intentionally lagged to some extent - that is, because mouse over detection is quite CPU heavy, it runs on a timer not every time the mouse moves by a single pixel... The timer fires 50ms after the mouse movement (if I recall correctly a -...

Re: Problem of wheel scroll during drag and drop

its not really even a feature... Its a side effect of how XMBC does things, and that side effect got changed, causing the way it worked to change. I didn't know it worked that way either (esp. as I don't normally remap mouse wheel up/down to the wheel up/down dropdowns - who'd have thought?!) But th...

Re: Problem of wheel scroll during drag and drop

The good news, I found the change in 2.18 that caused this change in behavior. The bad news, I don't really understand why the change causes this problem. However, I can revert that particular change though and I hope it wont cause any problems elsewhere. This will get fixed in the next version - th...

Re: Keyboard 'Ctrl' provokes scrolling... Possible? How?

Yes it might work in some cases, but as I said, for anything that blocks simulated input, that wont work because the injected CTRL will not be received.
And that's quite a big problem - maybe it wont affect you but anyone that uses XMBC in apps/games that don't like injected keys will be screwed!
