Re: need help with a command in a MMO

Games can be a problem. Some times they don't detect the simulated keystrokes at all (many online games block MS's SendInput API to prevent cheating). But if its detecting the 1 then that is probably a good sign. Other problem can be timing, using the incorrect send method etc.. Maybe next time, you...

Re: Mouse Up action results in slow, stepped scrolling

I just tried here (Windows 10, XMBC 2.18.7 in both Firefox and Visual studio 2015 the scroll appears to be nice and fast and not laggy when on the 4th and 5th buttons. To rule out any other XMBC settings, could you share your profile with me (save it and PM me a copy of the XML file). Then I can che...

Re: Mouse Up action results in slow, stepped scrolling

OK I wonder if its worth going back to 2.17 - the closer I can get to where it changed (if it changed and is not something else impacting it) the easier it will be to narrow down and fix. If your scrolling code, Im sure you understand :) If you want to try: 2.17: https://www.highrez.co.uk/scripts/do...

Re: Mouse Up action results in slow, stepped scrolling

Ah OK now I get it - "Mouse Wheel Up"/"Mouse Wheel Down" (perhaps there are too many options with similar names/functionality :)). I'll try and have a look at home tonight to see if I have the same problem. In the meantime, could you: a) Try "Scroll Window Up"/"Scroll Window Down" as they do actuall...

Re: Mouse Up action results in slow, stepped scrolling

Hi, What version did you update from - as perhaps the first thing to try is to roll back to an older version (I can provide links). The latest version has been there for several months now so I cant easily work out if your talking about a minor update 2.18.x-2.18.7 or a bigger update 2.17.x - 2.18.7...

Re: cant configure tripler click button

Yes I'm afraid thats not possible with XMBC. You may be able to write a script in autohotkey to effectively block the third click but its always going to be tricky to determine between three click from that button or three clicks of the left button. The same difficulty would apply to XMBC. And also,...

Re: Windows shortkey?

OK I understand now.

You can so this using the "Simulated Keystrokes" option.
type {LWIN} in the input box.

That should do it. Most things you can do on the keyboard you can do with Simulated Keystrokes.

Re: Windows shortkey?

Whats a shortkey? Do you mean hotkey or layer modifier key? The windows key is a bit of a nasty one and cant be used for layer modifiers because it cant be blocked so using it as a modifier key would always cause the start menu to show. Ift cant be used as a "global hotkey" either because Windows do...

Re: Layers

I'm sorry, but you need to give me more information. I'm afraid your questions are not easy to understand (which I guess is a language/translation issue). What code are you trying to use (what is your objective)? Of course wheel up and down cant be active at the same time - because the wheel can onl...

Re: Layers

Sorry, i'm not 100% sure what you are asking for. Layers re designed to allow you to switch to different functionality, you cant have two layers active at the same time in XMBC (if thats what you mean). But what are you trying to achieve (precisely) - What two codes? Maybe you don't need layers and ...

Re: Problem with slow click with left mouse button

It not wasting my time - its useful to learn these things and discuss them so others can also see the results. In this case the answer is that there is nothing I can do about it in XMBC but thats not always the case. I know what you mean about MS making changes that the many overlook/like but there ...

Re: Feature request: filter out mouse events generated from touches

OK that looks promising... So if that flag is set then basically just return from the hook without doing anything that XMBC currently does. That shouldn't be a problem! I'll have to have a play around (I have a surface pro 2 which should generate the required events to test with!). Consider it added...

Re: change keystroke as I press the mouse button?

You may be able to do this with XMBC (although Autohotkey will be more powerful and probably reliable). But i XMBC use simulated keystrokes, for the button on layer 1, use simulated keystrokes and type A{layer2} For the same button on layer 2, use simulated keys and type B On layer 2, set the option...

Re: Feature request: filter out mouse events generated from touches

Unfortunately the mouse hook that XMBC uses only sees mouse messages, not all windows messages. Maybe I'm wrong, but I suspect that the WM_TOUCH messages would only be sent to the focus application (not XMBC/global) so unless XMBC injects into every process to monitor their message queues, I don't t...
