Re: Switching tabs in Chrome requires mouse to slightly move for scroll to work

OK the same problem exists in 2.17 for me.
Anyway I have figured out the problem and fixed it - it will be in the next release.

Re: Switching tabs in Chrome requires mouse to slightly move for scroll to work

OK this makes some sense, because until you move the mouse, it does not detect the "window under the cursor" so when scrolling it is probably sending/redirecting the scroll message to the wrong (previous) window. I will have a look and see if I can fix it (because using the keyboard alt+tab also run...

Re: How I can set double click on middle button = F9 ?

Sorry, XMBC currently has no concept of different actions for double or triple clicks. The closes you have right now is button held (time dependent) where you can have different actions depending how long you hold the button down). XMBC sees button down and button up messages only - the Windows mous...

Re: Using Scroll Wheel in Bookmarks

Scroll through bookmarks in what? A browser, if so which one?

Im on holiday right now but when i get back, if you have answered the above, I'll have a look and see if I can reproduce it.

Thanks,
Phil

Re: Side button 4,5 programming problems Firefox, Chrome

Very odd. I use chrome and firefox daily and have button 4 and 5 assigned to copy and paste - they work as expected. You say that in the settings window, it says "(pressed)[]" with nothing inside the square brackets? That doesn't look right.

I'll get on this when I get home and am over the jet lag!

Re: How to assign different function in the same key on the second click

It may be possible to do this usingh layers, but its a bit complicated!... If you set layer one to sent {CTRL}{END}{LAYER2} then set layer 2 to {CTRL}{HOME}{LAYER1} it will cycle throguh the layers each time you press the button. The problem may be with that that it is a direct cycle so every time y...

Re: "Active window on hover" issue

Hi, not sure why its not recognising - perhaps the wrong window is getting the activate command (there maybe a window inside a window thats causing confusion). I will have to try this program and see if I can reproduce it and find a work around. Im on holiday right now so I cant d anything until nex...

No.
XMBC can only remap 5 buttons- The FAQ explains why and I cant be bothered repeating myself again so I'll let you go read that!

Re: Looking for 7 button computer mouse driver

You invented a 7 button mouse? Well if you made the hardware, then surly you need to also make the driver for it? Unless you are using standard HID USB then the MS generic HID device should work but wont see any more than 5 buttons as Windows does not recognize more than 5 buttons by default and its...

Re: Strange problem with Firefox

None of the items on the scrolling (and options) tab are layer dependent. Only the stuff on the layer tab is layer dependent. I don't know about disabling/enabling XMBC/Layers if a device is connected. In theory it must be possible but in practice Ive no idea how to do that - but I'm sure windows mu...

Re: simulated key press (during) not released

Just to try and clear things up a little (I know you said you understand it more now - but for the benefit of all)... A mouse button sends Windows two messages; a Pressed (down) and Released (up) message. Therefore you can use "during" in sim keys, so when the button is pressed down, the simulated k...

Re: simulated key press (during) not released

Sending keys on a wheel move is never a great idea, because there is no down / up message. Have you turned on "Ignore repeated remapped vertical scroll" in the options tab for the profile? If not, then during will not work on the wheel - and I don't really understand how it could have worked in 2.17...

Re: Looking for 7 button computer mouse driver

Hi,

XMBc is not a driver. It is a user level utility that hooks into Windows.
And as the FAQ says, XMBC can only recognize 5 buttons + tilt + wheel. This is because it relies on Windows mouse hooks that only support up to 5 buttons.

Thanks,
Phil
