Re: XMBC not working with Some Applications (Q-Dir and Everything Search)

Its not a known issue - Ive never heard of those applications but maybe there is something specific/common to them?!
No idea what may be the cause... I'll have to investigate.
Are these programs free/trial?

Re: Anyone else have success using X Mouse Button Control for mouse bindings?

Sorry, if the game is detecting and blocking XMBC then there is really not a lot I can do. Many games (esp. online games) do this to prevent cheating - for good reason really. Unfortunately this causes some problems with people who want to use XMBC generally to assist in their use of a computer but ...

Re: Blocking the action of modifier keys

Hi, firstly thanks for the comments :). Regarding the layer modifier keys - you are not the first to ask and no doubt you will not be the last! Of course, if you use a modifier key then the fact that the key is pressed, may impact the button action :(. Unfortunately, the modifier keys are passed thr...

Re: Tilt Scroll Wheel

Is that the same issue? I don't know - as the first post gave very little away. Your issue should be fixed as best as possible using the "ignore repeated horizontal scroll" option on the options tab. BUT as I said, because the tilt does not send a discrete press and release to Windows, its very diff...

Re: Tilt Scroll Wheel

I presume by"XMBC" detect the tilt, you mean that the tilt configuration drop-down boxes highlight in orange? So what have you tried mapping to the tilt (i.e. what mapping is not working as expected) Its important to remember that TILT (and scroll) is different to normal buttons in that there is not...

Re: X-mouse Button and the ELECOM M-HT1DRBK

Hi,

No it is not. As explained in the FAQ, XMBC uses windows mouse hooks and Windows only natively recognizes 5 buttons so thats all XMBC gets to see.

Sorry,

Ohhh that sort of zoom! Ok, well actually the magnifier funciton just sends {WIN}+ and {win}- behind the scenes if I recall...
So try

{MSET:x,y}{LWIN}+
and
{MSET:x,y}{LWIN}-

Re: simulated key - move mouse and preform action

Urm, assuming zoom is doable with the CTRL+scroll wheel then maybe this... {MSET:x,y}{CTRL}{MWUP} {MSET:x,y}{CTRL}{MWDN} Or if zoom is done by keys, then perhaps {MSET:x,y}{LMB}+ {MSET:x,y}{LMB}- In this case, the LMB is there so set the active window under the x,y point and assumes the + & - keys z...

Re: How to use XMBC based on mouse coordinates irrespective of the active window

You don't with XMBC I'm afraid. Interesting idea that maybe I can add in the future (I'll stick on the request feature list) but right now its not possible. The closest you get is the quadrants for each profile, but they are on top of the window specific profiles so that wont work as generic as this...

That might work in notepad, but I doubt very much the game will respond to paste from clipboard!

Re: I need a little help with a macro.

Well spotted but I don't think it will matter... I have tried several different ways to do this, but the fact remains that the during methods presses the keys in a row when the button is presses and does not release ANY of them until the button is released. The new tags in 2.18 beta don't help here ...

Re: I need a little help with a macro.

Hi, when using DURING, the keys are all pressed when the button is held, and released when the button is released. So this may be a little tricky because essentially you need to {SHIFT}<key> then to change case, you need to release the shift before sending the next key. {shift}wu{shift}w would work ...

Re: What is Virtual Key?

No, XMBC uses MS's sendinput API which places keys into the keyboard buffer and thus get sent to the window with keyboard focus.
Virtual key CODES are what Windows uses internally to identify which key has been pressed.

Re: Button chording not working in MS Word

Hi Adrian, Thanks for the detail and the profile. Ive just tried your profile with XMCB 2.18 beta 11 and all seems to be working fine. I have however fixed quite a few issues with the chording through the current beta run, so maybe thats why I dont notice a problem. The first thing to try would be t...

Re: XMBC 2.18 Beta

It most certainly is off-topic, this is a thread for issues with 2.18 Beta. Unfortunately, many games consider macros and key simulation software such as XMBC and AutoHotkey and the likes as cheating (and indeed, it can be used that way and is by many people). I'm afraid I am not in the game of prov...
