Re: Simulate touch events with POSTWM / SENDWM ?

I don't know anything about WM_TOUCH but a quick look on MSDN it seems it is sent by Windows to a window but it passes a complex object (pointer to an array of TouchInput structures) that describes each touch point. There is no way to create this array in XMBC simulated keystrokes and tell the POSTW...

Re: Command question!

Tricky, the wheel does not behave like a button (with a down and up message) but just has a single scroll message for each "notch" scrolled. There is an option on the profile options tab, "Ignore remapped repeated vertical scroll message" or something like that. Turn that on and set the time accordi...

Re: I cannot tie to buttons 4 and 5 of the Ctrl C and Ctrl V command

I will change all the dropdown options that send keys to send the virtual key code rather than the US-ASCII letter (so vkc 67 instead of 'c'). This will avoid any layout translation that fails if the key is not on your keyboard. So the dropdown options (like Copy, Paste etc.) should work for all key...

Re: I cannot tie to buttons 4 and 5 of the Ctrl C and Ctrl V command

Little update... The problem is that XMBC is unable to convert 'c' to a code for your keyboard because 'c' does not exist (on your keyboard). If you use simulated keys and do {ctrl}? (for copy) and {ctrl}? (for paste) it should work too (so long as you type the sequence in to the simkey window using...

Re: [bug] Latest XMBC logs to Desktop

OK Thanks, as you can see there are two registry app names ...
"XMouseButtonControl" and "X-Mouse Button Control"

That's the bug - the settings GUI reads and writes "X-Mouse Button Control" but the actual logger looks at "X-MouseButtonControl"
I'll fix that!

Phil

Re: Make scroll wheel scroll window under cursor

OK unfortunately there is not a lot to go on in the logs (or at least, I haven't found it yet if there is). I haven't been able to reproduce this in 2.18.5 on Windows 7 here yet either... Can you: a) answer my first question (does this problem happen in all applications or a specific one, like a bro...

Re: "Button Held" doesn't block original output.

OK, I'll try and reproduce it here and see whats going on. EDIT: Seems to be working here - so even more important to get a copy of your profile and some debug log which might point me to the problem... Debug logging... On the updates & logging tab in settings, simply turn it on. Then OK/Apply that ...

Re: "Button Held" doesn't block original output.

Hi, does this only happen with button 5 (I suspect not but would like confirmation). Can you turn in debug logging and capture some debug that may help point me in the right direction? EDIT: And a copy of your profile if possible so I can test it here and see if its reproducible (which will make it ...

Re: Wheel drag options?

That could be a tricky one as the wheel does not send CLICK (down) and RELEASE (up) messages like a button, so implementing drag will not be straight forward or reliable - how would XMBC know when you have finished dragging if there is no "wheel released" message. There is a "hack" in the options to...

Re: [bug] Latest XMBC logs to Desktop

Are you running the installed version or the portable version? The portable version stores its settings and log in the SAME folder as the EXE file (so if you dumped the EXE straight on your desktop that would also make sense!). For the installed version, the log file usually goes in the same folder ...

Re: I think I found a bug

OK regarding point 2. If disabling XMBC and re-eabling does not work, then Im confused... It must be the button state in Windows getting stuck (as it, maybe XMBC blocked a message so Windows got confused). Next time, try CTRL+ALT+DEL to open the "whats it called" screen with a list of things includi...

Re: Make scroll wheel scroll window under cursor

I any application/window or particular ones? I only ask because the main changes in 2.18.4 were related to this option (so a clear chance of buggering it up) but I'm a little surprised it does not work at all (given that this build fixed the issues reported and is working fine for me). It may well b...

Re: I think I found a bug

Hi, I understand point 1. Unfortunately when UAC prompt is active, I believe the mouse hook does not receive any messages so XMBC does not know if a button state changes (i.e. if you have it held down and you release it when in UAC, it will not know). It may work better if you run XMBC as admin - bu...

Re: assign xbmc profil to certain urls https://xxx.xx.xx in Chrome

Yeh, I just had a look, and it seems Chrome does not put the tab title into the window title (like Firefox does) so its not going to work. The tab title text is there, but in a parent window. This gave me an idea... Try this: 1. Turn on Regular Expression Matching 2. In the Caption, type BMC.* (the ...
