Re: I need a little help with a macro.

That might work in notepad, but I doubt very much the game will respond to paste from clipboard!

Re: I need a little help with a macro.

Well spotted but I don't think it will matter... I have tried several different ways to do this, but the fact remains that the during methods presses the keys in a row when the button is presses and does not release ANY of them until the button is released. The new tags in 2.18 beta don't help here ...

Re: I need a little help with a macro.

Hi, when using DURING, the keys are all pressed when the button is held, and released when the button is released. So this may be a little tricky because essentially you need to {SHIFT}<key> then to change case, you need to release the shift before sending the next key. {shift}wu{shift}w would work ...

Re: What is Virtual Key?

No, XMBC uses MS's sendinput API which places keys into the keyboard buffer and thus get sent to the window with keyboard focus.
Virtual key CODES are what Windows uses internally to identify which key has been pressed.

Re: Button chording not working in MS Word

Hi Adrian, Thanks for the detail and the profile. Ive just tried your profile with XMCB 2.18 beta 11 and all seems to be working fine. I have however fixed quite a few issues with the chording through the current beta run, so maybe thats why I dont notice a problem. The first thing to try would be t...

Re: XMBC 2.18 Beta

It most certainly is off-topic, this is a thread for issues with 2.18 Beta. Unfortunately, many games consider macros and key simulation software such as XMBC and AutoHotkey and the likes as cheating (and indeed, it can be used that way and is by many people). I'm afraid I am not in the game of prov...

Re: Having changes made to setup apply to all pc users

By default, XMBC saves its settings file in the users appdata folder, so there is a separate file for each user. However, you can change this behavior, when you install XMBC, you can specify an alternate location, and if that location is a folder that all users have access to, then all users will sh...

Re: Drag and Copy

@Phil, about "new simkey tags {OD} {OU} {OR} are added in 2.18 b8", not documented in ChangeLog.txt :!: 3. {LMBD} and {LMBU} simkey tags - for Left Button Down/Up - are not documented in the Simkeys Help field and User Guide PDF, but they are in the Change Log #175 (§ v2.6). Hi Suke... 2. Actually,...

Re: About the execution of the simulated keys exclusively in a given application.

No that is not possible I'm afraid.
Simulated keys go into the system keyboard buffer and therefore they are sent by Windows to the active window (that has keyboard focus).

Thanks,
Phil

XMBC is not a driver... and it is a signed application, so no idea what you are talking about!

Re: How does MREST works?

Hi, MSET simply sets the position, so I guess thats what you mean by teleport! MREST resets the position to what you saved it as... BUT, just before that you have {LMB} so I suspect the left button is still down, hence causing the selection. It all depends what method you are using... and if it is m...

Re: BUG: Conemu/cmder (in)compatibility issue

XMBC by default has the option "make scroll wheel scroll window under the cursor" which works 95% of the time but some applications don't like it. I already have a built in exclusion list for many programs, that effectively does what you have done with your custom profile - but does it without havin...

Re: infinite scroll up?

You might find that simkey method 6 is preferable - then it will repeat the scroll only while you hold the button down, rather than until you next press the button (sticky). Either way, simulated keystrokes is the answer!

Re: CHANGE TO ONE LAYER TO ANOTHER ONE

There isn't a topic like this already... Are you using global hotkeys to set F1, F2 etc. If so, thats probably going to cause the game not to see the keys. Unfortunately, there is not a simple solution (not in XMBC anyway). You have the option of global hotkeys (which will likely cause Windows/Games...
