Re: SimKeys: "{SHIFT}{ALT}" works but "{ALT}{SHIFT}" does not

Odd, I cant explain it off the top of my head. But its particularly odd because, IIRC, when you send any key modifier tags {SHIFT}, {ALT}, {CTRL} they all go in as a modifier code to the sendinput API I think, and it shouldn't make any difference what order they are in, because the code is a single ...

Re: Having trouble with "Lines to scroll" setting

Thanks for your response! Yes, I too noticed that as soon as I made a few profiles things started working! I also saw that I had to close and then open programs for the change to take effect. I used Calc, Notepad++ and SciTE4AutoHotKey to test since they all have line numbers - easy to see how far ...

Re: XMBC 2.17 Beta

OK here is 2.17 Beta 14. If you have check for beta versions enabled, you should get notified of a new version and prompted to update in the next day or so. This is the most efficient method (bandwidth wise) as the updates are only a fraction of the size of the full install. Otherwise, you can get t...

Re: Having trouble with "Lines to scroll" setting

OK I think I see the problem. The code has been optimised to only change this setting when the profile changes.... If you only have a default profile, it will never change, so I need to apply the setting differently!!! Further to that, there is another problem... Many windows dont take the setting (...

Re: Please help translation XMBC to your language?

Yes it did... It was because I added a new checkbox... which for some reason, visual studio decided to wipe out the text from those two field (very odd). I will have to beware of that next time I change the dialog template! Fixed it for beta 14. And fixed the custom window (the confusion is because ...

Re: Having trouble with "Lines to scroll" setting

HI, there shouldn't be any noticeable delay - there is a tiny one (but were talking milliseconds). XMBC does modify the control panel option, but it does it when the mouse moves over each window because different profiles can have different settings. There is a delay between the mouse moving over th...

Re: Please help translation XMBC to your language?

@Bata13 In the " Advanced settings " tab, " Initial repeat r&ate " and " &Repeat tilt rate " items are not displayed (even in the English screen.) And the description field in the " Choose Application " dialog (not " Find window ") still has been translated. LOL, OK so I fixed the wrong window.... ...

Re: Use mouse button as modifier key?

You dont need layers to do this. Use button chording on the button, and in the button chording window for scroll up, select simulated keystrokes and type {HOME} in the input field.

Thanks,
Phil

Re: A problem with layers

The layer switching ion the dropdown is a little different and its a temporary switch while the button is held, hence it not allowing the button to be configured on the layer you are switching too (because its already assigned and held down). However, you should be able to do this all with simulated...

Re: X-mouse button control manual.instructions

Well, yes, as I mentioned above, simulated keystrokes allows your to type in a key or sequence of keys that get replayed when you press the button they are assigned to. You can setup profiles (for individual applications) and each can have their own button mappings and simulated key sequences. You c...

Re: X-mouse button control manual.instructions

Hum, thats potentially a tricky one... Its probably doable... but maybe not in one action. It really depends on the application you are using (presumably a browser?). You can certainly wire up a button that types your email address (and return etc.) when you press it (look at simulated keystrokes), ...

Re: X-mouse button control manual.instructions

Well, in the 15 years or so of XMBC's existance, no one else has asked what it means (that I remember) but lets draw a line under that now :). I don't recall seeing anywhere where you said what you were trying to achieve with XMBC... If you would be so good as to repeat it, I will try and answer (ma...

Re: X-mouse button control manual.instructions

I'm sorry but if you are on a technical forum asking questions about a specific piece of software, I would expect one to be able to figure out the most simplest of acronyms based on the four letters that make up the capitalized initials of the software, especially when it is generously mentioned thr...

XMBC is X-Mouse Button Control, which is presumably the software you are asking for the instructions for or else you are in the wrong place ??!!!

Re: X-mouse button control manual.instructions

lol, yes sorry about that, I guess I tend to use "explorer" style paths, not least because thats how its actually implemented (as folders and subfolders)...
But anyway, Dolmatov pointed out an easier option (the about window) which I had completely forgotten about!!
