Re: Double-click on middle button works only intermittently

First thing to try, switch the mice over - perhaps the "expensive" one has developed a fault (this is not uncommon unfortunately).
When the button does not work, is it still highlighting in XMBC.doing anything else? if it is then its probably not the mouse, but worth checking!

Thanks,
Phil

Re: Double-click on middle button works only intermittently

OK not entirely sure - it looks like this is one I will have to try and reproduce here and see if its a bug/compatibility issue between XMBC and totalcommander. Is totcalcommander still free - I haven't used it for many years but if its freely available it will make it easier for me to test here. Th...

The latest beta is available in the 'sticky' beta topic at the top of the XMBC forum!

Re: Autostart and administrator windows

No there has not been a regression (that I am aware of).
And please explain why you posted your question here in a thread that is completely unrelated?

Re: Issue in fullscreen

That particular issue is limited to the close action only....
I don know about all the other issues though! :)

Re: Issue in fullscreen

Instead of using the Close (ALT+F4) option, please try Simulated keystrokes and the sequence {ALT}{F4}
I think the behavior was changed to fix another bug and had some unwanted side effects - but the simkey workaround should work

Re: Modifier keys frozen

Thats an odd one... Maybe you have found a bug - but I would have expected others to have simiular problems if thats the case.. My guess is that XMBC is not seeing the modifier key get release (for some reason). Can you please enable debug logging (in settings -> updates and logging) then wait for i...

Re: Feature suggestion, Changing Cursor icon

Yes that would be nice, but unfortunately, while doing this in your own application may be relatively trivial, doing it system wide is less so, the only way I can think of doing it would be to create a new top level window that moves with the cursor - and goes above all other windows - effectively c...

Re: Feature suggestion, Changing Cursor icon

One problem, I cant set animated cursors globally - that is, I have to change the system cursors when doing this, and MIcrosoft's SetSystemCursor API (which is the only way to do it as far as I can see) does not animate the cursors.. So setting the busy cursor from simkeys will show the hour glass/b...

Re: Feature suggestion, Changing Cursor icon

Well, that's a good idea that I hadn't considered :). XMBC does use cursors when locking the axis and when changing movement to scroll so its something that can be done. My only concern is that changing the mouse cursor system wide is strangely very CPU intensive (I don't know why) so if I can figur...

Re: [Suggestion] support for multiple connected mice

Sorry, it is not possible to do this using the API's that XMBC uses - the FAQ does detail that. There are tools that can determine the device, but they all include filter drivers, or are unable to block the original input (which would be useless in XMBC as the original button AND the remapped action...

Re: Button inputs not working

Hi, It sounds like a mouse (hardware) problem to me... Have you got another mouse to try as thats the best thing to do if you have one. You can disable XMBC (or exit it) and I suspect that you may still have problems with the middle mouse button and 4th/5th buttons (they should be back/forward in yo...

Re: Support for UWP apps

Didn't have a long look at that, but on first glance this would be a show stopper!.... In order to spy a Windows app, a small XAML Spy client library needs to be referenced by the app. That would rely on the app author linking that in the release app - hardly likely... And it would require interfaci...

Re: Support for UWP apps

In short, I don't think its possible. XMBC examines the window under the cursor, in a traditional windows app, each control is its own window, has its own window class etc. but in a UWP app, the entire window is a "traditional" window (and often it is simply a "host" window). Inside that, individual...
