Re: Long press mouse event - possible?

Not yet - its on my todo list but I haven't got round to looking at that one yet.
No doubt it will happen at some point but I can make any time promises I'm afraid.

Re: XMBC 2.16 Beta

OK I will try that again... Here is 2.16 Beta 15. If you have check for beta versions enabled, you should get notified of a new version and prompted to update in the next day or so. This is the most efficient method (bandwidth wise) as the updates are only a fraction of the size of the full install....

Re: scrolling in add/remove ("programs & features") windows error

Oh - OK sorry I thought you were on 7 :) I haven't got the creators update yet on my desktop - perhaps I should wait for that before confirming. Out of interest, how are you crashing explorer - it seems like my version does not crash :) Whilst I think Ive fixed it, I wont know for sure - I suppose t...

Re: XMBC 2.16 Beta

Welcome back Phil. How was your weekend? Did you rest well? :) It was fantastic, although not very restful! (B) I hope that wasn't to me lol. I said that I'm against removing it. And you confirmed that it's mainly for advance users. :P It was to all, not directed at you! Urm... Oh dear - I may have...

Re: scrolling in add/remove ("programs & features") windows error

OK, I think I managed to reproduce it... Although on Windows 10, it does eventually start working again after a few seconds.... I guess maybe Win 7 handles the restart of explorer differently (or crashing is different from killing explorer.exe and restarting it manually). I will have to do some test...

Re: XMBC 2.16 Beta

Beta 14 - looks good, about window "about" doesn;t knew that i need those buttons untill you add them :) Really was hoping for this "break simkey on mouse move" addition ;) It wont go in to 2.16 (I never said it would) its too big a job, and I'm not convinced its even do-able. S...

Re: XMBC 2.16 Beta

It works now :) . But I have a problem. There is no way I would fit translation of 'Open Userguide' in the button. Even translation for 'Userguide' isn't fitting, but almost. It would be nice if you do something with that button in next beta. Will do. PS: You didn't have any problem with making it ...

Re: XMBC 2.16 Beta

Just because you don;t have a use for the "Remove icon", does not mean its useless, there are several people that use XMBC in "hidden" mode, e.g. applied across corporate systems with fixed profiles and they dont want the users opening it up and changing anything, nor to know tha...

Re: button release premature ends key sequence?

OK, well to prevent the simulated keys continuing after the button is released, please try the latest beta and see if that helps. As for different things being done depending on how long you hold the button - thats not currently available in XMBC and would be a huge amount of work to do - so it wont...

Re: Documenting function x-mouse button press

Its not possible right now - do you mean some sort of label that you can apply? Where would you want to do that - in the profile window itself, as a tooltip? It might be something I can look at, but the setup screen is already quite space limited?!

Re: scrolling in add/remove ("programs & features") windows error

Ah, if explorer )the desktop) crashes, then the window handle will change so it might be that - I dont have explorer crash very often but we can reproduce by killing explorer in task manager and see if that is the cause -if so, I can probably fix that. PS rather than remaking the profile, does closi...

Re: How to set forward key to SHIFT

1. Use {SHIFT} not (SHIFT) - thats the curly brace not the bracket.
2. Select method 3 "During" not "Pressed" or "Released"

Try that, and next time, please post to the correct forum (XMBC) not general chat as I will be more likely to see it! :)

Thanks,
Phil

Re: XMBC 2.16 Beta

In Beta 14, XMBC has system buttons on the titlebar and the X button works to minimize to tray. But major users, especially who does not display XMBC icon at the tray, guesses that the X button works to killing a apprication ordinaly. It is necessary to add an information about how the X button wor...
