Re: Keyboard 'Ctrl' provokes scrolling... Possible? How?

Yes it might work in some cases, but as I said, for anything that blocks simulated input, that wont work because the injected CTRL will not be received.
And that's quite a big problem - maybe it wont affect you but anyone that uses XMBC in apps/games that don't like injected keys will be screwed!

Re: Keyboard 'Ctrl' provokes scrolling... Possible? How?

Hi, yes the inability to block the keys is a known problem with layer modifier keys... Unfortunately its simply not possible to block keys without breaking sooo much of Windows functionality. I cant block the key on the assumption hat you *may* want to use it to switch layers, because if you don't, ...

Re: Can I simulate a key e.g. {UP} when I pressed right mouse button (not released) and wheel up?

I think Jack6th means he wants to send the UP key when holding the right mouse button and scrolling the wheel up? If so, then yes you can do this with "Button Chording". Button Chording allows you to define different actions to buttons/wheel while a button is held down so in effect two buttons at a ...

Re: XMBC can't recognize horizontal scroll of my mouse

A good thought, but because its a touchpad (I think) then I suspect it will fail to work at all without a driver.
Its worth a try though!

Re: Keyboard 'Ctrl' provokes scrolling... Possible? How?

Hi Mark, Its not currently possible. But I think there is an item on the todo list to enable this functionality which will probably go into the next version. It will do this by adding an action to be enabled when switching to a layer (without having to press a button). Then you should be able to set...

Re: phpBB help needed -- signature not appearing

Nothing, I think signatures are disabled until you transition from new users to normal users (after 4 or 5 posts I think).
So the problem should go away after your next post.

This is doe intentionally because most spammers put links in their signature and this was a quick way of stopping that!

Re: Is X Mouse considered third party software?

As Killy said, Third party simple means not made by the game manufacture or supplied by them (or required by them). So ANYTHING on your system that they did not provide is 3rd party software! Many games consider it cheating to insert/inject keystrokes. If you are using XMBC to gain an advantage over...

Re: Problem of wheel scroll during drag and drop

For starters why have you mapped the wheel up/down to wheel up/down? What is the point of that and why does leaving it as "nothing (don't intercept)" not work (or does it actually work better?) Having, checked, I don't believe it works better - that is it aborts the drag here too. Interestingly with...

Re: How to configure 9 button mouse

I think I have done enough to prompt in the right direction. It is quite normal for people on the internet to just post, without first reading the rules and checking to see if the question has been asked before - because that takes too many precious seconds of their time, never mind our time re-proc...

Re: XMBC can't recognize horizontal scroll of my mouse

OK, I'm afraid the driver is clearly doing something different than the standard Windows tilt messages used to scroll in most applications. It must be sending different messages (probably a HSCROLL message or something) which XMBC will not see, and will not work in some other windows. And without th...

Re: XMBC 2.18.1 Released

OK it has been a few weeks since I release 2.18 and several bugs have crept out.
Therefore I have just published 2.18.1, a maintenance release to fix only those bugs.

For a complete list of changes, check out the version history.

Re: How to configure 9 button mouse

First, you have posted to the wrong forum which is why I didn't notice earlier (you clearly didn't read the posting rules - this question should be in the XMBC forum as it relates to XMBC - or at least, I hope your talking about using XMBC to setup your mouse?!). You also clearly have NOT read the f...

Re: Moving mouse would trigger the keyboard key function in the game, but i did not change any setting.

Hi, firstly, there are no windows settings that I am aware of that send keys when the mouse moves. And secondly, XMBC can *only* intercept mouse messages when it is running. It has to be running because it hooks the Windows mouse messages in order to intercept and remap them. If XMBC is not running ...

Re: XMBC can't recognize horizontal scroll of my mouse

Hi, My guess would be that the mouse driver is doing things differently. If the tilt options don highlight in XMBC then the "normal" tilt messages are not being sent. The driver is probably doing things differently, and that's probably why so many applications don't see it. What version of windows? ...

Re: X Mouse Button Control

There is a user manual included in the installation - should be on your start menu. It is also on my main download page. If thats is not sufficient, then what do you want to know? Im hopinh to get some further assistance to improve the user guide so any tips of what could be useful would be great (I...
