Re: Simulated Mouse Clicks Cause Screen to Turn Off

This sounds remarkably like this post... viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2772#p14724
I have no idea what could be causing this short of some major bug in Windows/device drivers - and I'm not really sure what to suggest as its not something I have ever seen myself.

Re: X-mouse BC opens maximised every boot-up (Win10Pro64)

If the settings window opens on startup, the chances are that Windows is running XMBC twice. This can happen if, for example, you put a link to XMBC in the startup folder. On Windows 8 onward, you can see the startup items in Task Manager. Have a look in there and see if there are two XMBC start ite...

Re: Delay in highlighting text

Have you remapped the left button? If you have, the what to? If not, then I'm unsure what could be going on - what process priority have you set? XMBC uses mouse hooks to intercept the mouse button, so in theory this could introduce delays, but none that I have ever noticed myself on any computer fr...

Re: ½ key not working with ACDSee

I'm not familiar with your keyboard layout - that looks like a different key to that on my keyboard (above the tab) I have ¬. Tilde is above the hash (UK layout). Can you link to a picture just to clarify? If it worked before and it does not now then either ACDSee has changed or an XMBC change has b...

Re: making X-mouse profile load with windows

What exactly do you mean? Do you mean XMBC is not loading, or XMBC is loading but it is not loading a specific profile within XMBC? If XMBC is not loading at start up then... Maybe you (or someone/thing) have disabled the auto-start or something (its don in the registry - use MSConfig on Windows 7 s...

Re: Don't work in Don't Starve Together & Dark Souls 3 applications

Firstly, as it says in the FAQ, some games simply don't work - mostly online games (any that apply anti-cheat technology) as this blocks programs like XMBC as they can be used to cheat. Secondly, the log you provided show that the active application when the log was generated was XMBC (and not the g...

Re: Scroll emulation not working in Windows 10 "Open with" dialog

I hadnt noticed... I'll take a look - there is probably something odd going on that requires the scroll to be sent differently - thats quite common with UWP apps - and this one is especially difficult because it goes away when clicking outside the window -so its not like a normal window!!

Re: More than 5 mouse buttons

Maybe you could use the logitech software that came with the mouse - does that not allow you to control those buttons?

Re: More than 5 mouse buttons

You can use XMBC with a mouse with any number of buttons, but it will only ever see the first 5 buttons. This is because XMBC uses Windows mouse hooks which only recognize the first 5 buttons. This is one of the most asked questions so the FAQ (and many posts here) explain this - sometimes in more d...

Re: Can I add "press alt+ button to..."?

Yes - sort of... You can use Layers. Setup layer 2 (for example) to send "Media - next track" on button 4 and then enable layer modifier keys (settings/layer modifier keys) and set ALT to trigger LAYER 2. This will cause XMBC to switch to layer 2 when ALT is held down. Now if you hold ALT and press ...

Re: Left held button as right click

Hi, With the button held option, the time dependent option is not invoked until the button is released (when XMBC knows how long the button was held for). This might be the problem. You should be able to test this on the desktop by holding left for more than 500ms then when you release the button, t...

Yes - quite a few and they probably aren't in the manual! Perhaps they should be, although most users will never use them I suspect...

If you do a /? argument, it will list them all on screen for you,

Re: Disable log file / Allow Windows variables as log file location

1. You can already do this with a command line argument....
use: XMouseButtonControl.exe /NoLog

2. Yes I can probably do that.... I'm a little surprised it does not already allow it - I will have a look and change it if need be.

Re: Is it possible to make a click of Ps2 with a mouse using Input32?

I don't know.
If you know the port addresses of the PS2 input buffer it may be possible - but why would you go to that effort when there are APIs in Windows like SendInput to send simulated input?
