Re: How to use XMBC based on mouse coordinates irrespective of the active window

There hasnt been a release since this was asked... so no! And its not on the list for 2.18 - maybe it will get on the list for 2.19 but that depends on how much work will be involved (I havnt had any time to investigate it yet).

Re: more than one window

I'm sorry to disappoint but that is not possible. You can wait for new versions for as long as you want, but I simply cant do it so no new version will be able to do it. XMBC uses Micrsoft's SendInput API to send keystrokes etc. This API stuffs data into the Windows keyboard buffer. Windows then dis...

Re: Autostart and administrator windows

I don't understand. XMBC starts automatically by default (assuming you are using the installed version and you installed it using the same user account) It puts an entry in the current user's startup registry section - it cant do this for other users (that I am aware of) at install time. So if your ...

Re: Application toggle

You can run batch files using the "run application" option which will ask you for the application (or batch file) to run. You can also do this in simulated keystrokes using the {RUN:<app/batch>} tag. The existing magnifier options effectively work by sending the WIN+ and WIN- keystrokes, so that can...

Re: more than one window

Sorry, I don't really understand the questions. I presume you are talking about sending actions.keystrokes to the game window? In terms of simulated keystrokes, XMBC works with the active window - the one that has keyboard focus. That is because when sending simulated keys, they are stuffed into the...

Re: Logitech wrong buttons mapping

Hi, some logitech mice do this. You can normally configure the wheel to behave normally using Logitech's own software (sometimes you can do this once and uninstall the software, sometimes you have to leave the software there - it depends on the device, my Logitech G9 does this but remembers the "pro...

Re: Malwarebytes scan seems to disable X-Button

Interesting, is that the free version of malware bytes (I use that and haven't noticed any issues here). Would be interested to see if this is happening to more users, although I suspect I would have heard more about it now as the advanced user types that use XMBC I would think are quite likely to a...

Re: Double-click on middle button works only intermittently

Well, it matters because Windows will not allow a process running as a normal lowly user (XMBC) to interact and control a process running as administrator - for (I think) fairly obvious reasons!!!. If you run XMBC portable as administrator, it might work but the only real option to allow XMBC to int...

Re: Double-click on middle button works only intermittently

Interesting... Is total commander running with any elevated privileges? There are some thing that don't work in portable mode - normally thing that require XMBC to run as an accessibility tool - such as some key sequences like Win+X on Windows 10. I'm surprised however that it makes a difference for...

Re: Double-click on middle button works only intermittently

First thing to try, switch the mice over - perhaps the "expensive" one has developed a fault (this is not uncommon unfortunately).
When the button does not work, is it still highlighting in XMBC.doing anything else? if it is then its probably not the mouse, but worth checking!

Thanks,
Phil

Re: Double-click on middle button works only intermittently

OK not entirely sure - it looks like this is one I will have to try and reproduce here and see if its a bug/compatibility issue between XMBC and totalcommander. Is totcalcommander still free - I haven't used it for many years but if its freely available it will make it easier for me to test here. Th...

Re: Autostart and administrator windows

No there has not been a regression (that I am aware of). And please explain why you posted your question here in a thread that is completely unrelated? EDIT: Apologies... having re-read the thread, I realize your question is not unrelated at all... but still, no regression that I know of! If you hav...

Re: Issue in fullscreen

Instead of using the Close (ALT+F4) option, please try Simulated keystrokes and the sequence {ALT}{F4}
I think the behavior was changed to fix another bug and had some unwanted side effects - but the simkey workaround should work
