Re: XMBC 2.17 Beta

Well I didn't really understand what Iliya had in mind, but I thought about how chording and helding could be combined. Of corse chording in helding wouldn't make sense but helding in chording could. Chording works like when you hold one button then the second would perform an action. So theoretica...

Re: XMBC disabled on Windows boot but tray status shows enabled.

Incidentally, I have found some software sets this value to 0 (incorrectly and without warning) like "volume2" which is clearly a bug as the author insists it sets it to 10 seconds (no matter the evidence I provided to the contrary).

Re: XMBC disabled on Windows boot but tray status shows enabled.

19-08-2017 21:24:04.0203> Running on Microsoft Windows 10 Home Edition (build 15063), 64-bit, Hook Timeout: 0 ms Yes, I'd be tempted to try at 2-5 seconds, but right now, 0ms explains a lot. Its possible that windows ignores the zero and uses something a little more sensible but it will still be su...

Re: XMBC 2.17 Beta

Looks like I got fooled by the note (since I didn't have a chance to test it). Might be better to add the info that the last enabled command is executed immediately when the set time is met. Right now I think it's a bit confusing. Now from my first test I see that click&drag is impossible unless th...

But one more suggestion. While you changed Depandant to Dependent, you could change it everywhere like in the logs or something.
Oh did I miss some? i though I did a search and replace... I'll check (although spelling in the logs is not really a big deal :) )

Re: Please help translation XMBC to your language?

I'll try and fix all of these in the next beta...
I will make the area wider for the "held for" text.
I don't know why "button chording" is not translating - will investigate.

Re: XMBC 2.17 Beta

Hi Iliya, 1. In my head chording and timed actions are mutually exclusive (maybe because it keeps things relatively simple). To implement a chord, by nature you have to hold the button down, so trying to mix this with different length of button down does not seem to make sense. There is a slim chanc...

Re: Why don't you have these mouse commands?

Hi, There is no distinct Home/End command because you can do that with simulated keystrokes. In fact you can do lots of things with simulated keystrokes, and its more flexible/configurable than a simple command in the dropdown. Just use {HOME} or {END} in the simulates keystrokes window, and probabl...

Re: Please help translation XMBC to your language?

I'm afraid that error message (enter a number between...) is generated by the framework and i cant override it without doing the checks myself - which is do-able but more work.

Re: XMBC 2.17 Beta

OK so here is 2.17 Beta 5. If you have check for beta versions enabled, you should get notified of a new version and prompted to update in the next day or so. This is the most efficient method (bandwidth wise) as the updates are only a fraction of the size of the full install. Otherwise, you can get...

Re: XMBC 2.17 Beta

Ah, I understand now - not sure how that happened, I could have sworn that I put code in to remove that from the list!
Thanks for clarifying.
Good point on the chording window too...

Hummm I can see eta 5 coming along quite quickly :)

Re: XMBC 2.17 Beta

That new option is great. I've made a quick test and it seems to work perfectly. :D But few comments on that. First that you should remove that "Button Held Time Dependant Actions" option from it's own window while it doesn't do anything  . I don't understand what you mean by this? The second...

Re: Long press of the middle mouse button, is there such a function?

XMBC 2.17 Beta 4 now has this ability (its early days yet and will require some testing but feel free to try it and let me know if it works or not.
Its called "Button Held Time Dependant Actions" near the top in the action drop-down list.
