Re: "Movement to scroll" improvements

Yes that may be the simplest solution... I'm a little wary of making too many changes because I want to release 2.17 but that is a really simple one that cant go too wrong :)... Will see. I was going to look at all of this on Saturday but was ill and didn't manage much at all this weekend :(.

Re: ctrl+left key and right continuous help

To be honest, I'm not sure what a space will do, maybe it was sending the same as {space}/{space} hence appearing slower (there is also a small delay between every keystroke configurable in the general/advanced settings which may make it slightly slower stil, but thats useful because otherwise keys ...

Re: ctrl+left key and right continuous help

With the keyboard, do you hold the keys, or repeatedly tap them? Because with method 6, you are repeatedly tapping them which seems a little counter intuitive to me.

Have you tried {CTRL}{LEFT} / {CTRL}{RIGHT} with method 3?

Thanks,
Phil

Re: Can xmbc run how service ?

If you mean you want to make a mouse button simulate the enter key then do this: For the mouse button you want to use, select "Simulated keystrokes" In the main input field, type {enter} or {return} (I think both should work) Choose method 1 (or 3 depending how you want to simulate the key press) Hi...

Re: What mice work with XMBC?

XMBC works fine with only 3 button mice, you just dont get so many buttons to configure :). I guess I could make that clearer in the FAQ, it was more to say that more than 5 buttons will be a problem... I guess it should say up to 5 :).

Re: "Movement to scroll" improvements

Wow that is pretty in depth - I will take a look in detail when I get a moment (probably at the weekend) and let you know how I get on.

Thanks,

Re: [BUG] {PRESS} and {HOLDMS} don't release key sometimes

There is already an option to send when the button is released... that's method 2... But that's not what you mean is it... Do you mean have an extra field for things to do when released... then really you might want 3 fields, press, hold and release.. Quite frankly thats just too much work (complete...

Re: [BUG] {PRESS} and {HOLDMS} don't release key sometimes

Probably an XMBC bug. The code to break halfway through a loop is fairly new and its a tricky bit of logic (what have we pressed, what do we need to release etc). I guess the problem is, if you break the loop after a press and before the release, the release wont be executing... But I suspect the so...

Re: XMBC 2.17 Beta

It should only apply once the axis is locked, and if you move the mouse left or right (when scrolling vertically) the horizontal will be added to the vertical movement - which means if you move only horizontally, its not going to have much impact but diagonally should improve scrolling and will add ...

Re: Combine "Change movement to scroll" with layers

XMBC is 15+ years old and it has evolved which means its all a bit messy! I#m slowly trying to improve that as I add new things, but at the end of the day, without a complete re-write its always going to suffer a little bit! Regarding the layer movement to scroll, I think I now understand what you m...

Re: "Movement to scroll" improvements

1. I'm glad that worked - it was a nice simple change... 2. Its *very* crude and a bit of a mess right now... Basically it takes the X,Y pixels difference between the point MTS is activated (clicked) and the current position (bear in mind the cursor does not actually move so the numbers are small ea...

I've added direction vector (1) in 2.17 beta 15 - let me know if it helps.

Re: XMBC 2.17 Beta

OK here is 2.17 Beta 15. If you have check for beta versions enabled, you should get notified of a new version and prompted to update in the next day or so. This is the most efficient method (bandwidth wise) as the updates are only a fraction of the size of the full install. Otherwise, you can get t...

Re: Combine "Change movement to scroll" with layers

I'm not sure I understand what you mean "to be a property of a layer (or maybe chords)." Change movement to scroll is on a button, which is on a layer.... As for adding it to chords, the complexity of the code has prevented this... and it was decided early in the beta phase that XMBC would not suppo...
